Ticketek

I reckon the only thing stopping this from being a 90,000 crowd will be if the MCC members don't turn up.

hi all,
went down to my local ticketek yesterday and the best they could do for me was q54 row cc... i still cant believe that club members have to pay an extra $13.55 to reserve a seat thats rite up the top of the olympic stand. i was basicly told its a sell out. how can this be?

Where do you get the 'sold out' info from rensman?

My plan was simply to turn up on the night. My experience with ticketing agencies saying things are "sold out" is that it is largely bollocks, and we always manage reasonable seats so long as we turn up an hour or so pre-bounce.

sorry you are right Mr P, "allocation exhausted" is the more correct term. sounds like a K.Rudd speech, means nothing. The website is now saying limited tix available...
perhaps a con to get us to prepurchase and line their pockets with some cash? or maybe it really is close to selling out??
something's fishy

I managed to secure seats in M2 on the day the tickets went on sale. Mind you it took a bit of posturing and a 5 minute phone call from the selling agent to a supervisor to work out how to do it. Initially I was told M2 was not available for sale yet.

Mopsy i had exactly the same experience except it was face to face.

Guys I promise you that the tickets are on sale behind the goals, level 1, PRE. And there's no way they'd be sold out - because ticketek staff don't know they're available so aren't selling them. The stories you're telling are consistent with mine and Mopsy's. It's just that we were lucky enough to get someone willing to go the extra mile to help.

When I bought mine, the girl at ticketek showed me her computer and said the seats were all "greyed out", so she assumed they weren't available. Yet when she clicked on a block, she was able to sell them to me. She commented to her colleague about it.

I bought 20 tickets a week ago today, which was the day after general admission went on sale.

For anyone still to buy who can get to the Crown Casino outlet, go and talk to the short haired girl there. She's the one who eventually found my tickets.

I'm even willing to go and ask her again tomorrow if seats are still available in that section.

I have an MCC guest pass for the match, but 5-6 of my mates want to go. I have advised them to prob wait till game day and go together at the gate very early.
Will they have any seats on offer on gameday, or all before hand?

Do you mean buy MCC visitor tickets for them when you walk in because if so I don't have the best news. :(

MCC MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE:
Visitor tickets for the Richmond vs Carlton match on
Thu 26 Mar have sold out. Members may still purchase reserved seat tickets for themselves for this event.

If not there should still be walk up on the day but if it's declared "fully ticketed" at any stage maybe it's best to book early.
