Tiger Hype?

Come on Harry don't you want Wallace to keep his perfect record with Richmond and the Who Cares Cup intact?

We've been pretty competitive over in the west of late. In saying that i dont think we will beat Freo over there but I certainly dont care about the everchanging name of the cup. Bring on the season proper. And as for the tiger hype - yep, it has got everyone talking and that hasnt happened for years.

Personally, i dont think this is our year by a long shot but we are finally on the right track.

what worries me is that everyone in the media who has commented on richmonds chances this year has predicted we will make the 8

Actually jan brady, I should have mentioned our gun new midfield recruits Hislop & Thompson.

Well we know Hislop wears a heart rate monitor so he must be good.

I know at times we have never lived up to the hype. I think 2009 is the time for the tigers to shine. This year I think we can actually live up to the hype and move forward. If we win against freo and move into round 2 of the NAB cup the hype may continue (depending on how we play). The hype won't go away until the season opener against the filth, and then after we win it will go back to normal.

Hype away people!
It's the first time in a very long time that RFC has been in the news over the off-season... all good for membership, win NAB Cup games is even better for membership, all good for getting other clubs waking up and at least give us some respect that has been lacking in many recent years. Go Tiges!

Someone posted yesterday that Hislop would be our next Hamill.....

... they didn't mention who our previous Hamill was, did they? ;D

Come on Feb 15. If we win I'd like to then see Cuz play a blitzer in Round 2 and make Eddie Everywhere explode.

What worries me is that we had one of the most charmed injury runs of all teams last year - and still came in the bottom half of the ladder. I was glad we won a lot of games in the second half of 08, but I also believe that any team that has minimal injuries should be winning games and should finish top 8.

If injuries don't go our way this season... hmmm.

Please my dear Feral hypesters for your own sakes just tone it down a wee bit. Over expectation is generally followed by dissapointment.

Should there be a poor loss to the Blues in round 1 all this carry on and hullaballoo will result in a feral outcry none the likes ever witnessed i reckon, there will be more plastic cards being waved around than one would see at a Myer X Mas sale if not a showering of membership cards that would make drought affected farmers tear up.

Settle my dear ferals settle for your own well being, just let it all play itself out.
