Tigerland needs more volunteers

Each clubs website is like a snapshot into how well each clubs is administered.

I don't see the big deal. :(

Maybe a courstesy call to the club will rectify your issue, and maybe an answer as to why, may be given!

You sound like a well spoken individual jitb, why not give it a try? ;D

WCE, Lions, Doggies are up to date just checked em out not bad sites either to be honest.
Doggies one is pretty good.

ever since Bigpond obtained the internet rights for our clubs internet site, it's sucked big time.

I dont know why our club doesnt follow Essendon and run their own official website.

I've been waiting for the list to be updated on the RFC site so I can update the team list page on PRE. ;)

The Bigpond sites all look the same and are so bland....boring....however if I need my Dose fo Tiger News I come here to PRE.

The Bigpond sites seem to reflect an internet wizard with everything inserted using the least creative manner possible. It would be great to see the creative flair come back and inspire and highlight the strength of each club. I guess its another big brother ploy. :-[

Does anyone else find that the site takes far too long to load?

I find it very uninspiring, most of the content is rehashed from other media outlets
Mind you I'm very critical of the majority of the clubs marketing initiatives, there all so "me too"

I know the lack of funds prehibits the initaives available, but originality doesn't have to be expensive.

I was just on the RFC website thinking how ordinary it is.

What gets my goat the most is is how much space is dedicated to multimedia "Broadband Features", for which you have to join Big Pond to be able to view.

Is this the RFC website or an ad for Testra?

If they want to have a small link to stuff that Big Pond subscribers can access, fair enough. But not a prominant chunk of the home page.

PS It does take to long to load on dial-up at home. I only access it when at work :hihi

Each page can take minutes to load on my computer. I rarely read the RFC site for that reason.

I don't find it take long to load either. However, I do get annoyed that if you're not with Telstra you can't download the audio or video links. It use to be that you paid for $50.00 for the year via the AFL website, and you could download any and as many audio and videos you wanted from any of the official AFL sites including club webistes, they should bring that back.

About 2 years ago, I noticed that in the past players section of our website that many photographs of our greats were missing.

Responding, I sent in some scanned images that I had of our 60s & 70s greats, from my scrapbooks, to the Richmondfc.com.au/Contact Us/administrator.

The response that I got was that they already had all the images but didn't have time to amend the site.

Predictably all the missing photos of our past greats appeared Past Players section of the website within a week.

Just a repeat of the magical lesson that I've learnt and applied all my life, which is:
You never get the Respect you deserve. You only get the Respect that you DEMAND!

The ACCC is currently investigating and appears to be taking legal action against bigpond.

It's unfair trading that Bigpond will not allow non-bigpond customers to the subscription sections. I have written a letter of complaint to telstra regarding this matter and forwarded their response onto the ACCC whom have informed me that they have received many other complaints regarding the matter and are in the process of investigating this.

Bigponds response to my concerns was basically, if I wanted access to their subscription sections on the AFL website, I'd need to join up bigpond. They didn't answer my concerns why I couldn't be with another internet provider and pay a fee.

There is no way I will be forced to join bigpond to have access to the subscription areas. Their service sucks. I've been with them before and will never again join them.

Bigpond internet is one of the biggest rip offs going around and anyone whom has joined them should wake up and compare their deals with other internet providers. Over priced and terrible service.

I am so glad that someone else has forwarded a complaint 2 the accc about the bigpond issue. I used 2 pay 20 bucks a year to recieve unlimited access 2 richmond stuff. And without warning and before my yearly subscription run out they changed it to only bigpond users. That was almost two years ago and i thought my complaint was never going to be acted upon.
