Tigers Announce New Sponsor

Richmond has “rocked the football world” with the naming of its new major sponsor, according to Tigers CEO Steven Wright. “We feel it’s an entirely natural fit for our club to enter into partnership with The $2 Shop,” Wright said.
“The price is Wright,” smiled Crazy Abu, proprietor of The $2 Group. “We see great synergies between our bargain-basement prices and the Richmond playing list.”
Wright said that the $2 Shop sponsorship came at an exciting time for the club, which has just re-signed a number of its generic players at run-out prices. “Jake King, Jay Schulz, Angus Graham… Their $2 contracts simply can’t be repeated,” he said.
Crazy Abu continued: “Greg Tivendale, Chris Hyde, Kayne Pettifer… They’ve all got to go!”
Crazy Abu said that some of the players would take on roles as "ambassadors" for the $2 Group’s subsidiary companies. “Jordan McMahon is a perfect spokesman for The Reject Shop,” he said, “while JON will now be known as NQR”.
