PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Was driving home from work tonight listening to SEN where Acker was in the studio for the 'run home'. Talking about our game on the weekend, Aker gave Richmond a pretty big wrap, commenting on our speed and willingness to run, but mainly he was most impressed by the pressure we applied to the doggies - his tone of voice said it all really where he was genuinely impressed by the amount of pressure we laid all over the ground, almost sounded stunned actually...

This has been the bigest plus IMO this year, especially the past 2 weeks...our pressure and shepherding have been very good - could probably improve further on the shepherding front but still a big improvement on previous years...finally wallace has recognised that speedy flankers alone aren't going to win you games...

Whilst the class of Cotchin and possibly Conners can't come quick enough into our midfield, there are some good signs at this early stage of the year...good drafting and a bit of luck at the end of this year and we could be well on our way to a good performing side for a longer period than 1 year (see 1995 & 2001)...here's hoping anyway.

GO THE TIGER!!!
