Tigers should target Prismall if they want to trade for players.

He was named first against Coburg earlier this year phantom...

Has played 6 games this year at VFL lvl, was in the best 5 times & THE BEST 3 times. Can't do any more than that...

Geelongs website doesnt give stats out but in match reports Prismalls mentioned as already having games of 38 & 44 possessions. His coach after his last VFL match "Prissa and Shannon, in particular, were awesome," he said. "They have been for most of the season, especially Prissa all year - he hasn't played a bad game.

"Prissa has been getting tagged every week, so he's been awesome".

Its very niave of punters to think because he doesn't get mentioned in ONE game that our VFL players are automatically superior.

Leysy not advocating giving up a high pick in anyway, but it seems a lot on here are scarred of picking up ANY players from other clubs because the dodo's in charge of our list have targetted the WRONG type & player in the past.

let's not fall for the same mistake with Wellar and Morrision.
"two talented players who couldn't cement a spot in the premiership brisbane side because of the strong competition"

So does Tivendale. I guess that explains why you have been advocating for Tivendale's recall.

Im sure the clubs that plucked these guys on VFL form wished they went to the shandy03 school of recruiting...

Matthew Egan, Josh Gibson, Sam Mitchell, Simon Taylor, Jake King, Dale Morris, Ben Hudson etc

All VFL products & leysy's sure to be plenty more.

Sheesh, leysy now know's why Inbredford says it's easy debatin with ya

Can't recall mentioning any of those players in the discussion about Prismall. Perhaps to balance the argument you could list the other 1000 VFL players from the last few years that haven't made it as an AFL player.

Inbredford would be aghast at your last sentence - an inability to use full stops and apostrophes correctly really annoys it.

leysy's confused now.

So does midori03 believe clubs should in any way look at VFL form & talent for prospective recruits?

No no no.

He's alright suppose but NOT the sort to target for crissakes.. Draft draft draft I say. Stuff the prismalls of this world.

You want a guy that cant get on a list but carves it up at SANFL level and is young and is massive in clearances.....

Adam Thompson of Port Adelaide.

I watch this kid carve it up nearly every week, then get a chance at AFL level, do everything he can for 20 minutes of game time, win a mountain of contested footy, and then get dropped......I cant work it out.

Having this kid in the team would be of HUGE benefit to the likes of Foley, Deledio, Tambling, Cotchin. He would do most of the dirty work.

He would be one I would target. I think he is now 22 years of age and may not cost the world.

Agreed as well. Port and SANFL followers are bewildered at his lack of chances. They play soft stick figures like Krakeour and Pearce and wonder why they don't have the hardness to see out games properly. He might get a game if they rest Cornes, but Port are too stubborn.

Could offer them Schulz again.

Perhaps someone should contact FJ or CC about Thompson. Isn't Danny Meyer's father scouting for us in SA? I guess he'd be aware of him.

Schulz for Thomson :-X

I cant beleive hes not getting games when all those other soft ***** are.

lol at some suggesting we trade Schulz like we are loaded up with talls, particularly with a couple similar types floundering at Coburg.
after his efforts on jericho, id rather play cartledge at chb

what you think his efforts were acceptable? when he left his man twice and drifted forward, if he was going to do that he had to have an influence. he didnt of course, therefore ball rebounded back so fast, mcguane copped all the blame. or what about when he was loose man in defense, and he stayed down waiting for the crumbs, when he couldnt broken the pack open. go through my posts, ive been the last to bag Schulz, but what i saw on saturday he let us down badly.

No but I think many of our players efforts were unacceptable.
He may have picked up some cheap leather and made a few mistakes but he was far from our worst.

You seem to have a pretty good grip on these matchups though. I must ask how you are making these assumptions.
Were you in the coach's box #7?

Schulz a natural forward, still learning to play defence.
As Goodone's stats pointed out, he is one of our few players who will do the 1%s.
That he had 9 on the weekend, our 2nd most from any player indicates he's not as lazy as you are suggesting.

He's been asked to play the tall role down back largely because of Polak's complete inability to play defensively at all.
It's hardly an ideal solution and is largely a patchup due to shoddy list management.
Because of this Jay is going to have the odd off game but overall I think he is one of a few of our more improved players this year.
As I said in another post I'd prefer to see him used up forward whilst Richo's on the wing but for some reason Wallace hasn't gone there yet preferring Polak & Riewoldt there.

Without the assured Wil in the 2nd half last week McGuane & Shulze both the very bad shakes & went to water when Adelaide put the heat on.

Shulze has been OK down back this year & defo prefer him to McGuane but you need players with composure & quick clear thinking when under pressure down back.
