Tigers should target Prismall if they want to trade for players.

Agreed as well. Port and SANFL followers are bewildered at his lack of chances. They play soft stick figures like Krakeour and Pearce and wonder why they don't have the hardness to see out games properly.
Could offer them Schulz again.
Good point about Krakouer.Blowed if I can work out why he keeps getting a game. There was little to reckomend him in the juniors and he does bugga all everytime I watch him play seniors.

There'something about these Kraks and getting game after undeserved game..They must have a network that holds compromising photo's on these coaches.

No but I think many of our players efforts were unacceptable.
He may have picked up some cheap leather and made a few mistakes but he was far from our worst.

You seem to have a pretty good grip on these matchups though. I must ask how you are making these assumptions.
Were you in the coach's box #7?

Schulz a natural forward, still learning to play defence.
As Goodone's stats pointed out, he is one of our few players who will do the 1%s.
That he had 9 on the weekend, our 2nd most from any player indicates he's not as lazy as you are suggesting.

He's been asked to play the tall role down back largely because of Polak's complete inability to play defensively at all.
It's hardly an ideal solution and is largely a patchup due to shoddy list management.
Because of this Jay is going to have the odd off game but overall I think he is one of a few of our more improved players this year.
As I said in another post I'd prefer to see him used up forward whilst Richo's on the wing but for some reason Wallace hasn't gone there yet preferring Polak & Riewoldt there.
No I wasnt in the coaches box, I just enjoy analysing these things

what about trying to trade for Ashley Hansen from WC? He would fill a void at CHF and with Kennedy emerging in the West as a young star I am sure WC would be will to entertain any offers for him.

He would be too much for what he would give, how old is he?
It's too much of a quick fix, I don't rate him either

if we are gonna trade for a forward we should be looking at ones with more upside and development left
eg. Dowler

No. Hansen is way overrated.

However it might pay to look around for another genuine CHF.

Jon Brown would be nice.. :sleeping

I'd rather Thorp, but then again with some quality talls in this draft we should just draft a couple.

Yeah Thorp is another, might have to give a bit more to get him, and has the hip question

I hope we can trade for one and draft a couple

Prismall is ok but I think we've learnt that players from other clubs is not the answer.

Because we have targetted physically weak players like Polak & McMahon Tim.

The correct types that add to our structure like Simmo etc shouldn't automatically be frowned upon because we've been burnt previously.

Brent's an ideal player to try & lure with some $$$ in the PSD, the are others around as well.

Let's be honest Prismall would just about get in our first bounce lineup or at the very least would be in our first change group going onto the ball.

Like Lazy Day's said it is all about the right player at the right price via the PSD not for picks.

You want a guy that cant get on a list but carves it up at SANFL level and is young and is massive in clearances.....

Adam Thompson of Port Adelaide.

I watch this kid carve it up nearly every week, then get a chance at AFL level, do everything he can for 20 minutes of game time, win a mountain of contested footy, and then get dropped......I cant work it out.

Having this kid in the team would be of HUGE benefit to the likes of Foley, Deledio, Tambling, Cotchin. He would do most of the dirty work.

He would be one I would target. I think he is now 22 years of age and may not cost the world.
Yeah i mentioned him on another thread.
Last year he had the best clearance per minute rate in the AFL.

Should look at Schofield from West Coast.
He looks ok.
195cm defender just what we need.

Haha was talking about him with my old man about two minutes ago.

-He has been a family friend since he was a little kid, didnt start playing footy until his early teens.
-Athletics & Surf Life Saving Background.
-Shy kid
-Dosent look 195cms, his quick!

Wouldnt think WC would give him up this year, maybe the year after see how he turns out but I would love to have him at our club.

Would have a few years ago. Not now, as he often suffers repetitive hamstring injuries.

Saw Schofield 2 years ago, as a junior.

Westcoast went for him because, at their pick, he was the only 195+cm junior who could run & kick. They thought they could teach him the rest.

He played a very good game on a wing in Bendigo early that same year. Nice mark. Not a physical player.

Just the lazy 32 touches yesterday for the cats @ 91% efficiency for Brent "average footballer thats going to be delisted anyway" Prismall.

But thats cool, according to most on here we dont want to add tough young midfielders to our list cause we're already chock full of em'.

Heh heh heh......

I'd keep an eye out for Warnock, he's just what we need. There's big wraps on the kid and he has just come out this week and told Fremantle that if he doesn't get played he will leave.

The Cats won't delist Prismall, they are just about ready to play him as a first choice midfielder.

Players under pressure there would be Tenace, Davenport who will probably not get a chance in a very strong midfield, Owen and Shannon Byrnes. Maybe someone like Varcoe or Djerrkurra might be prized loose due to salary cap pressures.

Only the last two would be of any real interest and they are too young to be cut loose without a fight.

You'd have to assume Tenace and Byrnes would be the most likely to go if it's a salary cap issue? Davenport would be on a very low wage and I doubt they'd be letting go of Djekerra or Varcoe just yet.
