It's all hands on deck for the Tigers as the countdown to bouncedown 2003 enters the fair dinkum phase . . .
With the '03 premiership season now just over six weeks away, Richmond has swung full-on into membership mode.
As part of an intensive membership drive over the next few weeks, the Richmond players will be busy on the phone, contacting those Tiger supporters who have yet to take out a 2003 membership and convincing them of the merits of doing so.
A special roster has been prepared, enabling all the Tiger players to help out in the membership department between now and the start of the season proper. Each player on the Club's list will each spend time over the next month calling lapsed Richmond members, with the view to having them well and truly signed up by the start of the season.
Membership figures are slightly down on the corresponding time last year, but there has been a surge in recent days as Yellow and Black fans experience that familiar feeling of anticipation and excitement which the dawn of a new season produces.
The Club is very keen to bring supporters closer to Tigerland than ever before, and has enlisted the assistance of the players in the membership drive to reinforce the 'One in, all in' motto that is being strongly pushed at Punt Road this year.
