Tigers Top 22

Our best 22 will change quite dramatically over the next 12 months IMHO ;D
Agreed

My hope is that we have up to 6 new faces in our best 22 in 12 months time

If that is not the case then we will not be progressing

i think that is all our wishes Buffalo because as you say we need it to happen to make progress.

Which I hope we're gonna see plenty off over the next couple of years.

Hah hah hah...how does Pattison fit into everyone's top 22 as either our CHF or our ruckman ? If you're expecting a 19 y.o. kid that struggled when playing 2 senior games (or whatever it was) last year to come in and fill those key positions for next year, then you are deluded.

For the time being, the Knobels, Staffords, Simmonds etc. still have to rank ahead of Pattison in filling those two KEY positions. He does not have the ability nor experience to consistently hold either of those positions down just yet.

At best, its the bench for Pattison for the time being. (And I'm not even sure of that.)

Re Pato Red,I beleave TW is very keen to give him the oppurtunity to play as a Key forward next year as he is for *smile* to be given CHB This in his eyes may not mean instant success but just forward planning same as Polo as a run with player,Jacko half back and so on

If we had to play a game tomorrow against Sydney to ensure the existence of the RFC, do you think that Wallace would select Pattison over the likes of Knobel, Schulz, Stafford, Richo, Hall...

Perhaps if it was for the existence of the RFC, then Pattison may not be selected.
CC's interpretation of this thread, may suggest Pattison needs to be in our best 22 for the future development of the club.

F:       C.Hughes   Limbach     Nobody

R:       A.Graham     Polo        A.Raines

That's one fine looking Reserves/Coburg side. It should be facinating to watch how they go this year.

Depends how many of their better players they retain. Jarryd Silvester can fill full-back, with Brad Rayson in a Back Pocket. Eric Kuret (Capt.) will be a better player next year & Nick Raines can play a variety of roles. However, having said this, Coburg need to cover the loss of Lachlan McKinnon & Michael Rix - If Coburg had held onto these players, then 2006 would have been very interesting year in Harding St.

newman gaspar thursfield

deledio hall j bowden

johnson coughlan tambling

brown richardson meyer

at coburg
chaffey moore humm

white silvester kellaway

still named to many duds or unskilled players in the 1s and the dearth of genuine kpp mainly kpb in both teams really comes home to roost in nameing both teams.also the lack of genuine ball winners is a concern as well.

These top 22 lists are just wishing and hoping lists aren't they?
The kids like Pattison, Meyer, Roach, Thursfield, Raines, Jackson etc. have not as yet been able to establish themselves as senior players. So far they have only been able to display a glimpse of the players they may grow to be.
How can anyone seriously rate them in our best 22 players?

Hartigan in a FP and Delidio HBF?
imo hartigan would make a great goal kicking small forward who will apply enormous pressure when he doesnt have the ball.as for deledio well hes going to be a marked man this yr being the hunter instead of the hunted and running of half back should help stop the heavy tags hes going to cop.

No not really! Imo much too early to put lids in the centre.Next season he'll have a lot more heat put on him.Put the bigger bodies in the heavy traffic areas like tuck. Lids should be given some "space to use his pace".Maybe a wing hff or even as a backflanker as claw suggests bursting off the backline using his pace to set up forward attacking raids.
