Now I will happily put up my hand as somebody who has wanted to keep TW till the end of the year both because I have feared a Gieschen type situation and also to sell a better picture to the world when attracting a new coach. However the season from hell has changed my view and I am now strongly in favour of parting with Terry ASAP.

Forget mid year, forget his 500 game player & coach record (it will forever reek of Sam Newmans 300th in his dressing gown anyway) its time for a line in the sand and a no compromise attitude to be re-instated similar to Graeme Richmond’s club of the late 60’s & 70’s. Some steps that as a long term member I would like to take place are:

- All players over 28; Gone at the end of the season
- Coach; Gone (Terry might be losing more than 4kg this week - how much would his head weigh?)
- Suspect players (quite a few in this list); Gone either this year or next depending on contracts
- Big hit at this years draft even though its probably not an overly strong one
- Lots of Rookies (absolute full quota)

At the end of the day not only should this attitude be a selling point to a prospective coach but lets not kid ourselves there’s not that many senior AFL coaching jobs out there and a surplus of potential applicants.

I haven’t referred to assistant coaches & the football department as I assume the new Coach & the mid season review will set a direction there.

Agree 100%
But I would assess Richo & Cuz bodies as if fit they can still inpact and win games and you cant buy experience...but delist/retire if suspicious.
Tuck & Newman should be the oldest on the list otherwise...but will have to step up more in leading.
Brian Royal, Dave King, Jade Rawlings, Monkey & medical staff shown the door....campbell, mcrae & vickory stay as is.

Find and Increase Football dept $$$ to buy our future coach as no one in their right mind will want to take the job.
Senior coach targets: Hardwick, Williams, Buckley, Longmire? if we some how get a hardwick or williams....pay $$$$ to get Primus as coach in. grab Hird?
We need bigtime Richmond people at board level too....Sheedy president or on the board?? or a role in footy dept??.....he still have a good 5-10 years in him to advise and protect the club and build a worthy support team.

G Richmond is turning in his grave...and I swear im just about to find some dark witch doctor or someone to reincarnate his legacy....Since when has a tiger not been ruthless & calculated in attacks...we do not live to the richmond standard nor even befit the right to be associated with the beautiful & powerful tiger.
If such drastic measures are not applied throughout the club...we are "*smile*" become as rare and endangered species as the tiger itself.

For me seeing the nephews crying and balling their eyes out because of the current state of affairs was the line. Tore my heart apart not having answer for them.

All talk no action on this forum, by the players and by the club.......and for everyone that reads this and hides behind the Australian family way of life yes i agree the AFL is family, but the RFC's inpet operations would not be tolerated anywhere else but in Australia....anywhere else in the world, members would be tearing the seats out of the stands, voicing and demanding results if not CHANGES! Call it thuggery, mutiny whatever you want but Real Madrid, Liverpool, Boca Juniors, Dallas Cowboys hold extensive trophy cabinets because the admin, members and fans all demand excellance.

ahhhhhhhhhhh No dont worry about it...i have it with this bland taste this club enstills.

I now think Wallace is being selfish by hanging around. Talk of wanting to do the best thing by the club is insincere, as any clear thinking person in his position, if they cared about the club, would accept they have failed and would offer some hope for what is left of this season by stepping down. His body language is awful. His comments "I'm just doing my job", is just the attitude you want your senior coach to have. It should not be 'just a job'.

He has the board over a barrel - i.e. if you don't sack me I'm not leaving. He knows there will be reluctance to sack him because the board has tried hard to get rid of this 'reputation' over the past decade and he will not resign because it would cost him a fortune.

Look I agree he's being selfish and even hypocritical but the large majority of people would not step down if it meant they wouldn't be paid out their contract.

It's always just been a 'job' for Terrence.

When has he ever shown any passion for Richmond whatsoever? When have his players ever spoke with any passion in terms of their coach?

The club (I use the term loosely) has become soulless, individual and lacking in true passion. It's been missing since Northey but has reached an all time low under Wallet.

For the players there is no common goal, there is little desire to play for your jumper or team mates and they are bereft of confidence.

Where is the pride?

I think many of the players simply see what they are doing as a 'job' too.
Much of that comes down to how the squad are coached.

Yes gameplans, recruiting etc. will be obviously be vitally important but whoever we bring on as coach I hope that they are able to restore some GENUINE spirit to this team.

That will start with a much greater focus on team based football which has been disturbingly lacking during the Wallet tenure.
Sacrificing some of your own individual game to make your team mate look better will go a long way to unifying the side.

It will also involve the replacement making sure that every player on the list does everything they can to make the most of their ability.
That means not just switching off after 9-5. It means making sacrifices to get better in terms of fitness and skill.

Some of things will be seen as old fashioned but they are as important as they ever have been.
We can only hope the replacement can strip it back to some of the basics which have all but disappeared from a team more focused on self..

The fish rots from the head.

On Footy Classified last night Hutchinson said that Wallace's management and the RFC have agreed to pay Wallace out if he decides to step down.
