Hmmmm...I'll have to join you on that front TM.

I always knew he was going to offer development wise to existing players but was annoyed at the loss of drafting another rookie who would potentially be around longer and of the spot taken in the side that I felt should be given to Polo, Collins, Connors, etc types (based on them not getting much opportunity when playing well at Coburg by end of last year), but I'll have to concede his contribution to existing players development has exceeded the loss of a spot for a player.

Which is what some people tried to tell me. I know. :hihi

I never worried bout him coming to Punt Road in fact i was just happy we were getting a bloke that could kick, Cuz imo was worth the risk.

Hislop on the other hand .... well time will tell.

I was skeptical. I worried about the impact he might have, whether he was over his issues, whether his head was in the right place or not. I was scared that it would implode on us (and Round 1 didn't help that at all).

Suffice to say, I was wrong too.

And I only realised this on the weekend when I yelled "BENNY" as he emerged from a pack, ball in hand. In that moment I knew I'd embraced him as a Tiger.

Was mildly opposed to his recruitment but he's showed he has plenty to offer. Will wait until his playing days are finished before declaring it a success however.
