??? Given the uproar about the missing seconds of last nights' game,can someone explain how it is done with soccer? It seems to me that the ref is in control of injury/penalty time.Perhaps this might work.The umpire could end the game after the allotted time,always around the middle of the ground.Any comment?
 
Not sure about soccer. but in basketball if the ref feels time was lost due to error he will make the timekeepers reset the clock to get back the time lost. only thing is they see the remaining time so know that. only way in AFL would be to speak to a 4th umpire who could speak with them by headset like in rugby.
