I mentioned this in the game day thread...but wanted to let everyone know about it...plus get a little extra attention ;)

Regarding that "SMS your name to this number and win a Motorola phone" comp, if you want one, get to the game in time for the comp, set a sms message up with your name in it, then put it back in your pocket. Keep an eye on the screen for the comp and when the number comes up, you've got the message set to go, you just need to put the number in and your in the box seat. It doesn't require any extra details, just your full name.

And it works. I was the first on the list of winners, because of my pre-game preparations :hihi and I scored a new phone. Plus managed to get out of the ground, grab the phone, exchange a laugh and a congrats with another guy who'd won as well and was back in my seat for the start.

So yeah, next home game, if you're up for a new phone, try this. Not often you get a chance to buy a phone for the price of an sms...
 
Hey skybeau that wasn't you sitting 2 seats across from me in bay 55 top of the new northern stand? You had two collingwood supports sitting to your left up until 3 quarter time ;D
 
Can't remember the exact seating, but yeah...I think I was near there...you weren't one of the people I pushed past a few times, WT? Those two Pies supporters told me they were off to get food or something...and I never saw them again!!! :( :hihi :hihi

I was the guy in the black jacket who was cold and hung over sitting at the other end of the 2 collingwood supporters.

They had decided at the start of the second quarter that they would leave at 3 quarter time if they were still 8 goals down! I heard them tell you they were going to get some chips. :rofl

Well done with the phone. Saw you texting and I was thinking to myself no one wins these sorts of comps. Then you pushed past me (again) and the next thing you came back with a phone in a purple box I believe and you showed it to your old man?
 
:hihi :hihi Sorry to destroy your faith in the failure of people to win sms comps, WT... ;) yeah, that was my dear old father next to me. Those poor Pies supporters...I was most disappointed with their commitment to their footy club...and they call us fickle? I think they couldn't get any chips, so they went to find some sour grapes instead...and they missed their side double their score in the last quarter!

That's bizarre, 63000 people and I'm 3 seats away from a fellow PRE-ender...maybe next time I'll wear a PRE sticker on my forehead, see if anyone comes up and says hi...but it was great to meet ya, WT, even if I only gave you a few happy grins and a few excuse-me's during the day...
