Good post craig, thanks. Nice to have something to work with after reading a review of a game and players. Almost too positive ;) , but I realise you are looking at the positives. When I see a post with a positive bent makes the criticisms contained within so much more believable. Very constructive.

Hear hear RRofo

A great post by Craig, balanced and informative. Thank you :clap

Craig great to read your report and read that you have taken many positive out of the game. (and that is not meant to make you sound like a darksider) It really heartens me to see that someone who usually pretty hard in his assessments took a lot of positive away from the day.

What me not a darksider .................... geez now ive got an identity crisis :-\

Great to read, Remote, about young JR.

It was that "something special", in my mind, that put him above Thorp.

Ran in to Rob Dalton at the cricket yesterday, he told me that young JR is determined to be in the seniors round 1.

Well, that may or may not be.
But that spirit & entusiasm combined with undoubted natural ability tells me that Tigerland will have "something special" when he does arrive at AFL level.

That is music to my ears. We will look back at drafting JR and see that is was the point that we actually started to aspire to being a top four side. I hope that he is there come ROund 1 along with Edwards. Be it by injury or selection that would be great.

This is just a bout the best reading thread I have read for some time.

Well done to all posters who gave their summaries.

How good is it to have Thursfield playing again. - Jeez its just about the most important thing for the team for him to come on- theres just nobody else but him who has potential for his spot.

And - QUESTION.

I can't read anything negative about my man for a long time now - if anything reports just keep getting better.

Surely hes a shoe in for best 22 at this club. I'm just glad others are coming around.

Well done once again CAM " The Future Gun" HOWAT.

Once again thanks for all the reports.

Thanx CC, RT and Craig, riveting stuff...

On Moore momentai said he beat O'keefe and Craig said Moore was soundly beaten by O'keefe, anyone else care to shed some more light on that duel?

Had a couple of mins to think about it, not important on that duel all in all a very good effort from the youngsters, thats all we want a committed effort.

I hardly noticed O'Keefe
I was quoting from CC.
Moore seems a better bet than Gas, who is going to cost us, if he gets fullback. As I've been saying for some weeks,I don't think we can win with Gas at fullback.

It does sound positive, but i think it's a bit premature to say drafting Jack will help us become a top 4 side. He hasn't even played a game yet. Still have doubts about his pace, height & athleticism to become one of the gun KPP in the comp. He does have a great mark, footy brain and composure from what i've read which is good, but to say the above is going a bit far and premature. Like all Tiger fans i hope he does become one of the guns we need. For the club and supporters sake we better not have got this pick wrong. We certainly can't afford anymore big draft blunders if we're ever going to get out of this mediocrity.

GO TIGES!!!

Not really, the Jack comment is more based on the type of person he is, the attitude he has, he has a bit of a mean streak, a mouth on him and he has that bit of spark about him. We haven't had one of those in KKP for God knows how long. The biggest thing about good sides is that they have someone who doesn't accept timid efforts or sloppy work on the training track, just a desire that everything be done at a tip top level. Jack has that and it is that something special he has that will make him the key ingredient. He may not be the best player in a RFC finals side but he will the heart and soul of it.

Just hope the Jakey gets a game as good to see a friend of mine (played a lot of Juniour footy at North Heidelberg with and Cricket at Bellfield CC) get a game, and I will tell u this, he will always put is body on the line even if a bloke like Barry Hall leads fult tilt he will put his body in front

Ah Angus - you are a legend. My mates 5 yr old son asked "who is that number 44" as he jogged around the ground. I said "that's Angus". He said "what's in his mouth". I said a "mouth guard to protect is teeth big fella". He responded "i like Angus". The big fella proceeded to snag two nice goals and play a nice game. Still a long way to go. Have we got a ruck coach?

I think Alessio still is

Well done to all those who reported - massive efforts. Thankyou. :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

Maybe you are just blinded by the light Craig my man. ;D

Funny how the same people who dismissed our poor showing against Geelong as being only a NAB Cup game are the same ones excited buy a loss to a half arsed Swans team, a club that don't usually crank up until about Round 5.

Lids - Was only OK. Missed an easy shot at goal that an elite player should nail 99 times out of 100. Do we expect too much of him? He seemed to be spend large chunks of time (particularly in the first half) playing on Goodes. Goodes was BOG in the 1st half.

Good report RU.
Honest assessments of Deledio are refreshing.
Apparently Goodes was the difference between the two sides. Carved us up by reports.

Deledio's our no1 draft pick, so of course expectations are high. Primo picks don't grow on trees.
As far as the Tigers are concerned there's plenty riding on him becoming a star of the competition. It will be a big disappointment if he doesn't.

I think it's great to see TW's giving Brett some daunting tasks against the biggest names in the comp ala Goodes. Though BD's still only 19, it can only assist his education by copping a flogging against the best. He needs to see what the elite can do and what it takes to get to where they are.

He's a great talent for sure but he has definately got to make some improvements to his game, particularly defensively. His efforts on the Brownlow medalist shows there's still plenty of work to do in this area.

He'll definitely learn a lot more chasing a bloke like Goodes around the park for a while than he will floating free across half back, picking up easy kicks and looking pretty. Exactly what he needs - to see how the elite go about their football.
