I would kill for that midfield at Richmond again.
They would be abit old & slow now though :hihi
;D
Probably quicker than some of our current midfield all the same.

And they all know which way the goals are....and not just the midfielders......take note joel!

Tigers are up 9.5 to 3.8 in the 2nd quarter. We are looking good. Hope there is no second half fade out like we have all year!

Why isn't there a gameday thread for this one?

Geez football has changed dramatically during the past 25 years or so. It's like a totally different sport. Back then it was more kick and hope type football relying on the big marks (a bit like how we play now). The skill level of today has improved out of sight (not ours) as not many players back then could even handball effectively. The flea was ahead of his time with his handpassing and kicking.

No disrespect to the team of 1980, and I know it wasn't full time back then, and they didn't have the resources they have now, but a Westcoast or a Geelong of today would absolutely smash them.

May be, may be not. But those Tigers were tough and solid in the backline and midfield. Who would stop J Jess in full flight?
