There's a story in Scot Palmer's punchlines that Tommy (my favourite Tiger doesn't need a surname) He was sent sprawling at the busy junction of Hughes Rd and Nepean High in Sorrento.

Tom, in his traditional T-shirt, shorts and runners landed with his arm perilously close to the car's wheel after being skittled.

The article says Tommy is a bit bumped, bruised and grazed but I bet the car came off second best after tangling with our Tiger Tough Tommy.

Re: Tommy Hafey hit by car.

This man is tough!

How do you explain to your insurance company that I came aorund a corner and here was a Tiger.

And Tom being the guy that he is owuld have more concern for the people in the car than himself.

Re: Tommy Hafey hit by car.

Thank goodness he's OK.  When I read the heading of this thread I thought to myself, "Oh no, not another one".  I'm still coming to grips over that horrific multi fatality near Mildura overnight, and absolute tragedy, words cannot express my feelings.

You're right geoffry. I've changed the heading so people reading it don't get alarmed. The tragedy in Mildura is unbelievable. Absolutely sickening and so sad.

The impact on the town will be huge but also spare a thought for those involved in cleaning up the tragic mess.

Thoughts go to the families and also the rescuers. I know what theya re going through.

For sure DHN. So much tragedy and I daren't think of the absolute horror for professionals, volunteers, family, friends and anyone who witnessed or was involved in the massacre in any way. Heartbreaking. :'(

thank god hes ok ok go tommy someone who is a real inspiration to many :clap

on the other business.. now i travel a fair bit on country roads, and the nature of the beast is that high speed will ensure tragedy. it doesnt take much to do the wrong thing... its just wether you'll get caught out >:D

With the passing of Jack Dyer, surely Tommy is now our club's patriarchical figurehead. (Or have I forgotten someone?)
Tommy Hafey is definitely Top Tiger after Jack handed over the baton.

Thank God they dont make cars like they used to

Listened to Tommy speak many many times. Rarely have I seen someone bring hardened farmers to tears.
Tommy still speaks form the heart...he bleeds yellow and black. He is one awesome gentleman. Still has a lot to offer the RFC.
