Tommy Hafey

Just heard myself on 7 News that the greatTommy has passed away.

Can't believe it.

Condolences to the whole Hafey family and to the wider football community.

Great Tiger through and through in one of the clubs power decade.

You will missed by Tiger supporters. Hope the boys really lift for the remainder of the year.

R.I.P Tommy Hafey. You gave me some much pleasure watching the Tigers win Premierships back in the late 60's and early 70's.

So gutted & sad to hear of this. A champion person & legend of our great club.
RIP Tommy. Your passing has saddened us all. I pray your soul has eternity in heaven & for strength & comfort for the rest of your family... :'(

R.I.P Tom.

A true Richmond great on and off the field.

Condolences to family and close friends.

Sad, sad news. A true Tiger immortal.

Tommy was always very friendly to me and a strong supporter of PRE. I'll always treasure his hand written responses to PREnder questions.

I will get a card and forward PRE's comments and condolences to Maureen.

I'm very sad. Shocked, I thought he'd go on strong for years to come. He was one of my heroes, so happy, positive, focussed and dignified, I loved him.

Great Bloke & Legend of the game - One of if not the greatest coach of them all.
Just feel gutted hearing the news of Tommy's passing. He was a legnadary coach, but an ever better person. Without the era that he oversaw and the subsequent Tiger Army following, I don't think the RFC would still be here today in its current state. We have to get a statue of Tom in his famous t-shirt next to Jack at Punt Road to forever remember the greatest coach we were blessed to have. RIP Tommy :(

The fittest 80 year old and dies from a brain tumour from that bloody C - word.......how??

RIP Tommy.....Jack's been waiting 11 years for you up there.

My thoughts go out to the Hafey family on their loss.

Tommy was not only a great tiger but a fantastic person and servant of the game.

RIP Tommy

Just saw the news, that has floored me, stomach just knotted, R.I.P Tommy, legend of Richmond.
