Nothing outstanding in any area IMHO, a good honest kid who had the misfortune of starting his career in an era where a fairly clueless coach wasn't able to get the best out of quite a few young players with some potential.
Unfortunately there are numerous players of his build, pace, skills etc. around and the competition for a spot on an AFL list is pretty fierce if you don't have something that stands out, and I cannot think of anything young Roachy has like that.

He is fast, has good skills and works hard. If there is one area that the Saints needs depth in it is with ball carrying midfielders.
I hope Tommy gets picked up and works out at the Saints a la Shane Tuck with us. He's a good player and a ripping fella by all reports.

I think he received some shabby treatment from the Richmond selectors and felt sick for him as he tried to salvage his career in that last match againt West Coast. His first kick caused a turnover and that was that!

I honestly believe that Roach can have a breakout year in 07 ala Raines and Tuck. He is quick and has a good work ethic. Richmond werent able to get the best out of him but I believe with an injury free season he could turn everything around. If I were a saints supporter (I almost am 2nd fav team) then I would be hoping to Roachy to be picked up late.

Keep thinking about that day in Morwell against the Bombers (the day when D-ROD done his knee).....in the huddle at quarter time and how disinterested he looked...standing 1 metre away from plough and ripping out the biggest yawn you'll ever see right into ploughs face, pissed myself laughing.
