As some of you might have seen Mike Sheean recently re-did his top 50. In my opinion it wasn't a bad effort and thought it would be intresting to see what my top 50 would look like. First I got all the contenders from each club and wrote them down.

That was real hard to do and next time around I dont think I will critisize Mike. The order was hard and isnt perfect and could be better. I think I got all the right players in there except the order is a little bit questionable.

(BTW I woke up at 6.00 am this morning for gym and have been bored all morning so I decided to give it a crack)

Congrat's AKH, it's a tough gig indeed. Mind you MS did put Adam McPhee in his top 50 last year :-[

A. Raines, J. Gram and D. Swan would not make my top 50 yet on the back of one year.

Yeh Im pretty sure he had McPhee last year. Not only that but it was really high in the top 20. Said he was sure it was gonna be a breakout year for McPhee.

In regards to Raines, Pearce, Gram etc I based it on the year they had. They have proven nothing yet but thier years were too good to disregard. Also players like Voss, Roo, Bucks and Hird all missed out as well because I based my Top 50 on the year not on achievments from the past. The only old timer that got in was Harvs but you cant argue with that I dont think. He nearly won his 3rd brownlow! ;D

Hard to argue against much of that, but maybe
- add the Cornes brothers at least to the list of contenders
- have McLean a fair bit higher
- hard to make a case for Raines without including Pearce as well

Well done, as you say it's a tough task.
