I think he must have been trying to increase his chances of being picked up by the bummers.

What is the latest news re possible suspensions?? It seems all quiet on the western front.

I think the tribunal ended a couple of weeks ago. Now it's up to the panel to hand down the sanctions.

Thanks Baloo. This is longer than The Bold and the Beautiful...which we don't watch btw.

Tribunal said it would take around 4 weeks to work through the evidence and hand down a verdict - so given the tribunal wound up submission last week - about three weeks to go, give or take a bit.

What I am not sure is whether the verdict handed down has the penalty attached (if found guilty) or whether that is another step in the process

It's going to be a real farce if the commencement of any sanction time is wound back to their last game last year

That's pretty much an given already. They are provisionally banned at this moment. It will only be an issue if the banns are 6 months of less. If they cop 1 year or more starting round 23 2014 then that's fine by me.

Think the verdict will only be about enough evidence to find the players doped. Once it's brought down it will then be AFL run individual meetings with each of the players for assessment and handing down of penalties, dependant on how many drugs the guilty party scored n how helpful they were at dobbing in other parties during the initial investigation.
