Watching the team today can only be described as truely sad. This team seriously lacks confidence in: themselves, their teamates, the coaching staff and the game plan. Who's to blame for this horrid state? The players cannot be this bad. For mine it's the coaching staff who are charged with making sure the players are mentally up to it, week in week out. Opinions please.....

Agree Bob. For some reason the team don't appear to be playing as a united front. It's a major coaching and leadership concern that the players can't be fired up every time they run out in the yellow and black. To me it falls on the shoulders of the coaching staff. Sure they're not the ones out there dodging contests, turning the ball over and not performing to their true potential, but it's the coaches job to select leaders and players who do those things every week, and to get them in the right mindset to ensure they do them.

Ah yes...deja vu 2004

Yep for a man who doesn't say much your on the money here mate. I noticed it as well. They were not prepared or game to back themselves at any stage and as I have said a couple of times are mentally fragile. The looked like they didn't know what they were supposed to do a various times today.

Richard Tambling was the biggest spectator I've seen in a game of footy for a long time today. He sat of packs with his hands on his hips and just watched the game go on. Even when he was forced to accept the ball he turned it over. He just didn't look interested at all today. I noticed at one stage he looked proppy, but I wonder whether it was physical or mental. He looked slow to me today. Both mentally and physically.

Whilst I love Jake Kings willingness, his turnovers just kill us. How many goals did he cost us today. Rance was the only one who stood out to me as having any real intesity about him, but he was getting swapped due to poor turnovers up field.

Lids is concerning me as well. Not prepared to do the hard stuff at times and needs to look too murphy and gibbs if he want's to take it to another level. Does not assert himself on a game yet.

Clearly they lack structure and leadership. When a player the quality of N Brown is making basic skill errors under pressure you know there is a problem with the game plan.

The only solution is to sack Terry as head coach and sack the Director of time wasting Royal!

Polak has more GUTS AND HEART than the entire Richmond playing list all put together.

He got knocked stupid yesterday but still gave his all. He put in more effort yesterday than the 22 running around today.

Realistically Polak should never have played another game after his accident. But he worked and worked his arse off to get back to where he is currently.
