I haven't seen him live yet, but from what I have seen on the TV and the raw stats (debut 2007, 21 games avg 9.7 poss per game , avg 3 marks per game) I don't get why he is getting so much attention. Yep he's young and very tall, but so was Pat Steinfort (still is really). If you believe the reports he is the centre of a bidding war and is being talked about at $250K - $300K a year for a 3 year deal. Are ruckmen that scare to make a no name worth that? Interested if anyone has seen anything in him that makes the fuss seem worthwhile.

I'm not buying the hype on him - yes he's very tall, but a bit like Sandilands he's exposed around the ground. Cox dishes him up, even a titch like Simmo did well on them.

Rather sacrifice a few cms and get better mobility as well!

I see that Pat Steinfort is now Elite Teams' agent in NZ.

Shows there's a life after footy.
Heard that the older Holland has just completed his Law degree, and Ben is already a physio.

Good luck to them.

On Warnock,

If we had a couple of less than 27yo mature ruckmen and 2 x developing AFL ruckmen on our list, I'm sure we'd be less interested in him.

The point that we don't ensures our desperation.

Don't forget...

Jim Plunkett - Programs Manager

What does steven sziller do at leading teams? Maybe Plough could get a job as a cleaner for them next year.
I dont get the Warmcock hysteria either.

Warnock? No fuss here, pass.

I haven't seen anything in him that shows any promise other than his height.Unless we were lucky enough to get him in a Simmonds for Fiora type deal he would not be worth it.

Any other price would be two much, moot point anyway I think, he's Melbourne's to loose. If they do, they will still heavily influence the trade week over him because they will force a club to do a trade (and hence probably pay more than they would like), as they will be willing to take him in PSD with 1st pick.
