Trade Week - What would you do in Miller's shoes?

Here's a wild idea. How about we offer the Hawks Tambling inreturn for Franklin? :rofl

Oh that's right I am dreaming, the Hawks wouldn't even entertain that idea. Miller is a man of questionable judgement!

Wouldn't the trade be Tambo for Roughead?

fat arse roughead?

Miller will be looking to trade for:

- definitely at least one, maybe two KPD potentially from; Thornton, Polak, Haddrill, Perry

- potentially a forward at the right price ie. Bradshaw, Staker, Aker(hope not)

- maybe another on-baller if the trade suits ie Kelly, Salopek

- and if Knoble is traded (which i think could be an outside chance) may go for Gardiner or Cameron Wood or another of Brisbane's ruck options

- more/early draft picks

I think Miller will look at trading

- Pettifer, Tuck, Knoble, Hartigan, Jackson, Rodan, Hall, Tivendale + draft picks

That being said I think we should keep Pettifer, and Tuck is probably more value to the club than any trade value he would represent. Whilst I rate Knobes, i think if we can find a cheaper replacement then he represents good trade value (look at what was given up for other rucks Jolly and Brooks)

In terms of collecting ready-made players, i think all we really need is one, maybe two KPD's and potentially a reasonably young on baller.

i dont understand everyones obsession with keeping 3rd rate players

tuck wouldnt get a game in the doggies team because he cant kick and isnt quick, terry can see this

if we can trade player-for-player and get polak or perry then we can build the midfield through the draft picks

look i know some of you spent your $2 on player badges, no need to get upset if they get traded

its footy

Get ya hand off it!!

Just remember everyone.

For every player that we add to the list, outside of a player for player trade, that's one less draft pick in this 'Superdraft'.

Anyone who trades a pick, without getting a better pick for it, will be a 'mug'. :thumbdown

if howat gets promoted and we get polak dont be suprised if we have 3 picks which would be laughable

thats why its funny how everyone cries when players names like cogs or tuck are thrown around

in our position you just dont give away early picks and do what you can player-for-player

IMO we should take at least five from the draft.

Delist blokes like Kelvin Moore

By the start of 07, there will be 70 to 75% change in the original 2004 Richmond's playing list. On that basis, there will be at least another five to go (excludes Staff, Chaffy & Kella).  With eight picks, the possibility of 2 to 3 player exchange, our draft picks will be around five (first and second to remain unchanged or some improvement in order).

No where as obsessed as one Evanrude - wanting blokes not even getting a gig in exchange for a guy who is picked midfield every week. Just know a good hard at it player that makes a positive difference to the team when I see it - don't need badges for that :hihi

I like cris newman but would he get a gig in a premiership team? I'm not sure!Sheedy thinks the world of him (he picked him in the last hybrid game and praised him) .Would he be enough to get pick 18 or 20 off them? I'd be interested in Laycock as well.I think he has a much bigger upside than Knobel. Would Tivver and knobel be enough to do the deal?

weel after kindly being labelled the Greg  Miller of my uni course...for my ability to pull sh!t our of my ......yes anyway i will have a crack as GM:

Not too much to happen...bit of flagging interest in a few guys in Kelly and Bradshaw....but nothing serious there. Dont wanna lose picks in this draft...pray on the weak. Need to fill some voids so we can pick some quality mids in the draft...ok here goes:

Krakouer ---> North---Perry/pick 37 -----> Richmond

Hartigan ---> Essendon -- Pick  36 ---->Richmond

Picks 36/37 ---> Fremantle -- Polak ----> Richmond

PLAN B:

Krakouer ----> West Coast -- McDougall ---> Fremantle-- Polak ----> Richmond

Hartigan ----> Roos -- Perry ---> Richmond

We lose: Krakouer, Hartigan

We gain: Polak and Perry

We gain two young promising Key Position backs and do not lose any picks in the draft and could grab a selwood or proud and perhaps a McKenzie or Reiwoldt.

Dont have the cattle to gain any picks...Tivendale, Hall, Knoble, Rodan....wont bring much to the table.

Nothing too dramatic...just ensuring we fill the holes and keep  the picks - thats all i would be focussing on.

wanting blokes not even getting a gig

you dont say, what are you gonna wait until they win brownlows before you consider picking them up

for a guy who is picked midfield every week

which midifeld is that?

west coast or sydney, no its richmond ffs

newman would almost no doubt get a game in a premiership team, he is a quality player

Maybe but he's also the type that if was injured for a week or two he wouldn't chage the fortunes of the team too much.
