poor poor rosmerta and others in a huff about all the swearing and now i wonder if she will be wringing her hands with all the innuendo above.

Seeing it was your swearing I mentioned why not post in the thread to try and put across a valid argument for allowing such language on PRE.

If you can't then stop sooking.....and swearing.

You can't trade any of the first year players, they all have to be contracted to their original club for two years, so that makes Tambling, Meyer, Polo and Pattison untouchable until after next season.

The actual "rule" is that you cannot trade a player until a season is completed in the first year of a contract:

From the AFLPA current CBA:

"Save and except where in the opinion of the General Manager - Football Operations, there are exceptional and compelling circumstances that make it harsh and unconscionable for a Player not to be exchanged, no AFL club shall exchange any player who has not completed at least one season under his current contract with the AFL club or such lesser period as agreed between AFL and AFLPA"

That basically means that if a contract is signed after a season is completed (like for draft choices), then one complete football season has to be played before the club can offer them for trade.

It also means that any established player signing a new contract mid-season could actually be traded at the end of that season - as a footy season in the first year of their contract has been completed!

I wonder how many realise that?.........
