Training 6th

Training is at Victoria Park this week, what's the parking like there?

IIRC at the Intraclub match at same venue last year, either Struggletown or Redford (I think Struggles) had THE opportunity to run down McGuire out the front of Vic park.

Mcguire ran out on the road and Struggles was perfectly within his rights as a motorist with the right of way to.............................

I distinctly remember watching Bubbles acting like a tv journalist with his pad and pen last year, problem is he had thongs.

So what your saying is when it comes to the crunch.Struggs fails to deliver? ;D

No, I got the vibe he didnt want to appear on The Footy Show explaining in a live cross to McGuire's hospital bed how and why his brakes failed.

We should expect some food after 5.00pm today from whoever's gone to watch the boys train at THAT ground.

If Jay has these skills then I'd like to see them put on show in a real game, not just at training.  I've only ever really seen Jay take good grabs and dob the odd goal.  Can't remember many (or any) occasions when he's shown skill on the run (unlike Ray and Staff).  Hopefully we'll see Sarge doing it when it counts this year.

Agree with Lamby, jay is very skilled for his size if you want to see them on display get a copy of the Richmond V Lions game from 2004 (I think it was) Some great examples of his kicking for goal and deadly from outside 50 when on song.

Just needs to string a few together and he will take off as his confidence soars. Go get em Schultzy.

This is exactly my point. I've seen him take good grabs and convert - in the the Brisbane game he played full forward because Richo was out.  But I haven't seen him play a running game. When has he carried the ball, say, from CHB to CHF and delivered?  I don't think I can ever remember him doing this.  But I've seen Razor streaming down the ground with the ball a heap of times.  And I've seen Staff gather, run and kick many times as well - as a ruckman it is a basic element of his role.  Both these guys are in the better class of big men for running and kicking - and I know how unfashionable it is to talk about Hall in this way, but I really believe it.

Sarge has shown he can mark and kick from set shots.  But can he get the ball, run and then kick?  I don't believe he has shown this in games yet, and it is something he will have to start doing, especially if he wants to overtake Hall as CHB.

Hope both Staff and Razor do well this year, but skillwise they are light years off Jay - beautiful kick both sides of body and great hands and can do all the 1% i.e knock ons, sheperds, tackles and "kabooms!!!", although Staff is very skilled at that art.

Sarge and 1%'ers.  Not in the same paddock.  So far - in both the senior and Coburg line up - I have seen next to no evidence of him ever doing the 1%'ers.

Agree to disagree.

TB , I've really resisted the urge to bag Ray as he tries his heart out and there has been evidence of improvement but Schulz is actually a real footballer and Ray is well...................Ray!

In that case Lambo, best Jay pull his *smile* finger out & prove it to us. ;)

OK Lamb Chops, we can resume the argument in a season's time. I reckon Razor will still be CHB!
