PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Big skills session this morning.first drill started with players kicking accross the ground to player leading on an angle then handballing off to player running past and same at other end.
Then a full ground drill with groups formed in middle of the ground leading to the points of the square, then handballing off to the groups who wre close to the boundary line who would then kick to the groups leading out,a circle work type drill.
Next drill players formed 4 groups one in the goals 2 on the flanks and 1 40 metres out from goal normal triangle type drill except last flank group would pass to group 40 out who would then play on,try to get round Kingy and Goal.
A couple more smaller type skills drills were then done before players split into 2 groups for some running.Group A did some very short sharp stuff with a bit of bumping thrown in,Group B did the usual run throughs then followed by a few nice 200s to finish of with.
conditions were overcast/warm with a good breeze.
Chaf did some running but only one in rehab group
TW watched half the session sitting in the stand taking notes
IMHO was one of the best skill sessions ive seen ,players who have question marks over there skill level seem to have improved, ball hardly hit the ground the pace was excellent.
Whites kicking was spot on as was Humm,Cleve no doubt has excellent hands.
Brownys limp has improved out off site moving very well
Lids geez 18 years old cant beleave it, they will be modelling footballers on this kid for years to come
Once again very high skilled session exciting to watch
