training for 2018

Main training session today;

No Grimes at all adding to him looking very limited in his movement Tuesday.

No Shai

Again no sign of Lambo, hopefully doing work on the Gyro inside, (doubt he will make 1st final)

Butler ramping up his running, (am a bit more confident but still wouldn't bet on 1st final).

Good news regardless if they play or not:

Cotch Astbury Prestia George & Conca all trained strongly.

pretty good new caesar. Thanks.

whats your thoughts on $hai being available for the VFL tilt?

agree Pops, great to get Garthy choccas with system and process. We might need him in Sept.

Who do you believe the AFL site or me ;D

To be fair I rocked up about a 3rd of the way through so he may have made an appearance earlier but was not there for the hour or so that i were watching which included all the game simulation work.

Cannot make a judgement on Shai as he is not even on the track 2 weeks after knee op. At a guess VFL granny might be the earliest we would see him?

Haha no contest, you

All good & keep up the good work

I'm worried about both Lambert & Butler ability to make it back and be upto speed for the 1st final

I have just about accepted that Shai Bolton's future wont be at Richmond (unfortunately) hope things change and he stays but not looking good

1st Final hope we play the Swans and no more injuries

Hope Jack kicks 8 this week and wraps up his 3rd Coleman

Wouldnt mind seeing Balta get a game this week give Vlastuin a rest (been great this year)

Agree on Balta. Going into finals against Melb or Coll without some backup for Nank could be our undoing.

Some doubt about Grimes the last few days but trained strongly today, kicking marking running all fine.
Daniel and Josh stood out in the goal kicking.
Team was very vibrant and Sam Lloyd seems to really spark them with some funny jibes on the track.

Big Jack put in his usual extra 10 mins of shots at goal from around the 50m line. Got a big cheer when he came off to sign stuff for fans...come on Coleman!!

Grimes was out there today which is a positive and a sign that he will play, but today was NOT really a training session, 20 minutes of basically kick to kick. Were standing with someone else and we both thought he didn't look totally free.

Thanks Caesar.

Has to be a late change?
What's his concern ? Back related? To me this could be concern if it's back tightness- related to tight hamstrings. One of my many problems with my body so yes I'm no doctor but I'm just a little concerned.

To me , when after the game there were reports on Grimes I remember after his chase flat out to punch the ball through , I thought please don't ping your hammy here as he was flat out. I reckon he pulled up funny after that chase down. I think that was the incident in question.

Wouldn't be risking him at all. Garth in Grimes out would be my change.

Give Grimes the week off and with the extra week it will be 3 weeks - He will be Cherry Ripe for final #1

Agree. There is NO reason to risk any of our key players in this dead rubber. That goes for Castagna too. Garth would replace Grimes fine for this match.
