Hey guys, I had to meet someone in Swan St today, so while I was in the neighbourhood, I popped in for a quick look at training.

Didn't go for very long, so as a result I only caught about 15mins-20mins of it.

The guys were divided up into groups, with groups at 45 degree angles either side of goals (about 60metres out) and one group directly in front.
These groups were divided up again, with one group handballing to a player running past, who'd then take about 10 steps and have a shot at goal. Wasn't very high intensity in my opinion.

After training, Luke McGuane stayed out on the ground with 2 of the coaching/fitness staff. One would roll the ball along the ground, and then David King would try knock him over with a big tackle bag. After this, they'd handball the ball into the air, and Luke would have to take the mark. Again Kingy would try knock him around with the bag. He didn't look too restricted in his movement, and had his knee reasonable heavily bandaged. I'd guess he'll play this weekend just based on that little session, although maybe he might be rested if he pulls up sore.

I tried to run through the HS and look at who was named, to see if anyone was missing, but they were off before I got right through the list. Didn't look to be anyone missing though from what I could see in the brief time there. And if the training drill was anything to go by, maybe we're going to be doing a bit more run n gun type stuff this week.

Sorry I couldn't add anymore detail, hopefully someone else might be able to.

i thought someone here reported he had ruptured an ACL ?

Maybe, he did hurt the knee, but I don't think it was ACL, because he was running, kicking, and jumping just fine.

Can't say I got to training, but I did see Joel having lunch with Bling, Krak & JON outside "Richmond Roasts" on Swan St. ;D

Well i was there to, but i was paying to much attention to a certain player to do a report on the training sessoiin.

Me and checkside went to the training today and wen we sat down to have lunch brownie, kayne johnson, greg stafford, greg tivendale, mark chaffey, mark coughlan, chris newman, troy simmonds, brett deledio & darren *smile* were all sitting at the table beside us and then joel bowden, andrew krakoure, tambling and jarrad oakley nicholls were sitting at another table.

Brody, I'd suggest you're already a leading frontrunner for the job of handling the official club press releases at Clawthorn...the soon to be 17th AFL club based in the sprawling suburbs of downtown Pannawonica, which will be comprised entirely of clones taken from the great man himself...played fresh out of the test tube with nothing but raw genetic brilliance and a week watching claw in the backyard to carry into their first training session.

Keep up the good work mate...big things await! ;)
