Gumpus Hall will be as good as Scott Lucas !!! Haaaargh haaaarg !!

If Gumpus is so good why have we tried 3 years in a row to trade him ! ??

Talk about a late defence of Gumpus. Where were you 6 months ago Oh Great Gumpo Lover when I was praising Gumper's efforts and recognising he was having possibly his most consistent season with us ? You must have been asleep. Maybe you were dreaming of him ? Maybe you were dreaming he was a superstar who's better than Newman and gonna be as good as Scott Lucas!! ? Haaaargh haaaargh !

Well, as others have pointed out to you dreamboat, Gumpus is just a battler. Pure and simple.

Wakey wakey.....

Do you want to provide a direct quote of where I stated he'd be as good as Lucas? Or are you living in Red Ford land again?

What I said was that he was developing into a Lucas-type player. Nor did I say he was "better" than Newman...the two are simply not comparable players and I wouldn't waste my time trying.

You began relenting on your premature, foolish assessment of Hall last year, but old habits die hard for blow hard's apparently. The choice is yours...the longer you stay off the Rayzor bandwagon and throw eggs at him the sillier you look. The more you attempt to alter that fact by misquoting me, the harder it will go for you Red Ford Laser With Racing Mags... ;)

Razer is what he is.

Average marking skills but pretty good at getting to the contest and applying the spoil .

Capable of a good long kick and ok on finding a target, but very very slow to get ball to foot and a little too one sided.

Courageous and willing to mix it with opponents when the need arises. He with Cogs and Johno are the only ones who offer any protection to our younger players and who will dish it out in revenge. I don't include Staff in this group because he is so unpredictable that it is difficult to know where some of his stuff comes from. :hihi
Razer is one of the teams better exponents of the sheppard but that isn't really saying much because this is a skill that virtually no one apart from Cogs, Johno or Razer know anything about. If you want to know how bad we are at it have a look at replays of Gas and Pettifer in particular.

Has been very good at doing jobs on taller opponents who have got on top of Gas or Kellaway and is one of the very few palayers we can swing around with reasonable confidence.

Where do I rate him. I think that his value to the team for the first 6 games will be his flexibility.Terry wants to see how much we can expect from our second stringers of last yr and until they are shown to have failed then Schulz and Patto will be given primary roles at CHB and CHF. I think Ray will be first reserve behind Schulz as our CHB and will take a f/flank if Pat Bowden is called upon to take over at CHF. At this point imo he is also just behind A Kellaway for a b/pocket.

Simmo and Knoble will take on the ruck duties and if Staff is also selected to play in the forward line then Ray could find himself playing at Coburg. That is something which Terry will have to carefully manage as this as I see it, could easily occur despite good form.

Ray is going to play his 100th for the Tigers this year. I doubt if he will be another Lucas but I certainly rate him well a head of Ted whats his name.
