That is not right Ghost.  Tuck received massive and constant support from all on this site and I cannot recall any posts that suggested his drafting was a mistake
Well there was one darksider who said Tucky should be delisted...... but at least he admitted he was not sane  :hihi

I just think David and Shane are very different situations on here.

I think Tucky has always had full support and faith from the posters here on PRE.

Unfortunately it seems David doesn't share that luxury.  Stick it up 'em Rodo. :clap

Unfortunately you are right rosy.  Tuck & Rodan are totally different players.  Tucky better in and under in the clinches;  Rodan quicker and more evasivess with the ball.  Both will be very valuable for us.  Like u said though, Tuck has always had the support from posters on here while David doesn't seem to have that faith from alot on here.  I double your cry of 'Stick it up 'em Rodo!'

Dear D.Rodan,

You have a two year contract which you have managed to get whilst, having not shown enough to warrant it.
Please feel obliged to show us why you have fought so hard for it. You have threatened to walk out on the club, if they didn't offer you a two year contract. I think you are very courageous to take this stance, as I think you would have ended up with a zero year contract at 15 other clubs. Time to stop playing hard ball with the RFC & get a hard ball against 15 other FC's.

Yours Sincerely

Disco Stu

Very harsh there Disco. He just had a full knee-reco and hasn't even had a chance under Wallace yet. If you can't see he has obvious talent i'm speechless. Maybe we should get rid of more players on our list with talent. Maybe Tambling, Meyer and a few others should go too. ::)

I am stunned - I cannot believe a true supporter would post something like this! It is so negative and so vindictive that if I was Roden I would come looking for you with my 9 iron at the ready!

I understand it is all part of the AFL and in particular the RFC to have some fans who do not agree with indvidual players being on the playing list - but Disco Stu this IMO is extremely poor!

In the end I hope Roden makes you eat these words - should he play to his potential this year and become a regular in the team - I for one will remind you of your post on him in January 2006....RT

Couldn't agree with u more RT. I was stunned as well as angry reading that post. Just a massive shame Roda did his knee last pre-season. I pray this doesn't stop him reaching his full potential. He will show us all his exciting qualities this year and will add skill, pace, flair and creativity to our midfield.

GO TIGES!!!

I remember quite a few people questioning Tucks disposal in his first year with us. I never saw this issue myself, and thankfully I'm pretty sure we all agree now he is a winner.

I'm surprised some folk don't yet see how cool D.Rodan is and how good he will be this year. Not really an issue. he will show them!

just remember guys morrison, tuck, fletcher, marsh,, and weller come from other clubs and have FAILED to make the grade for what ever reason. surely its better to take Dunn, Nash, pettigrew, and furfaro who are highly rated youngsters. out of this type of player comes most of your champions or better players another nathan brown perhaps. imho we only took one player with the same pedigree if you like as dunn and co and that was gilmore. the rest are speculators. i think getting browny (as i said before is a good footballer) has cost us the opportunity to get 3 or 4 quality kids who you could say with a reasonable amount of confidece will make the grade. also browny is 26 at the start of the yr and probably wont be around by the time we build a side good enough to make top 4 on a regular basis.

There were a couple of other posts like this, questioning Tuck and the others in that draft. There will always be people on both side of the fence - guess that's why we come here to have something to discuss/argue over.

I think the comparison with Rodan is not all that bad, and much like Tucky, I hope he makes a few people turn red with embarrassment when they see how good a footballer he is.
