Yes - Cairns is a HUGE trip, whereby after a 4hr flight you check into your 4 star hotel with resort pool and warm climate before running/catching/jumping - and then having a sleep and getting back into a jet for the 4 hr flight home.
Wheras Geelong and Bendigo - jeeeeez - it must be traumatic for the young MEN!

Thousand upon thousands commute by rail or car from Newcastle/Gosford/Wollongong every day. There and back - JUST to make ends meet.
While a simple trip to an outer suburb (Liverpool) will take 2hrs in any semblance of traffic!
Geez - the freeway to Bendigo/Geelong must be traumatic!
