If I have my original 4/4/4/4 village and 2 15 croppers, how am I supposed to create enough culture points to throw parties or build my villages without the use of gold unless I make the original village my capital and extend the fields past 10? And you'd be making a 15 cropper the capital anyway to let you have a much bigger army.
I can see how you could make 4 or even 5 villages with only your original creating any significant production (other than crop) but after that you're talking about needing culture points in excess of 100k which you need to fund all from 1 or 2 normal villages.
I can see the advantages and I can see how they would work very well if you had gold to spend, I just don't see how you'd manage initially without.
