Yeah, you just have to pick the times when they're not online. Morning here seems best. He has two full crannys though so you have to wait for him to be well over 4k in each before he's worth hitting.

My immediate neighbour and I have had a nice peaceful relationship up until now. I'm very tempted to smash him now though because he's got 100 praets for my hero to feast on and 12k+ of each resource. I'm just trying to negotiate an confederation with an alliance that has a couple of big ones near before I do it so I don't have the whole neighbourhood come after me. I asked Evil Angel if he thought they were a good alliance to make friends with and he told me to deal with it and made me a bloody diplomat FFS.

Should have settlers tonight to grab the 9 cropper down near Kiwi too. :)
I don't get it. Maybe I'm missing something here, but what sort of army would you need to attack 100 praets. Surely you wouls have large casualties. Would your losses be covered by the booty?

I've got 60 EI's SD, and they're not particularly strong against cavalry. I could build another 40 in a few hours and add a few imps to go with them and not take too many losses. My hero would probably get at least 2 levels from it too. I think if he had say 40-50k total resources, I'd break about even in terms of losses which would be worth it for the hero xp.

If he has a level 10 wall and palace and I took just 100 EI's, I'd lose 25, not taking into account my level 2 hero. They cost about 1400 resources each so as long as I got 40k from him I'd be right. He's only 3 minutes away so I should be able to clean him out nice and fast. I just don't know whether it's a good time to stir up the neighbours. His alliance has plenty of members around me.

Edit, sorry didn't see your edit. My hero's level 2 with 3 in regeneration, 8 in offense and 4 in offensive bonus. I want to get as many points into the bonus before the real battles start.

Yeah, my hero's only been in 1 attack for 5 bonus points. I'm finding it hard to build them up. Villages seem to either have no troops (so no points), or too many troops. I'm alsoa bit reluctant to attack a larger village with lots of allies nearby, as I would hate to get a nasty suprise in the way of re-inforcements when I attack

Yep. You need to scout heaps and build up enough horses to take on big lots of praets. They seem to be the most common defenders. Phalanxes are tougher and probably better to avoid until you have a really decent and varied army.

I've got 26 EI's atm.I love them for raiding. Guess it's time to build up an army of 50 or so

When I left for work this morning I had started my first level 6 crop and also a grain mill and my massive army out raiding. By the time I get home should have enough to increase the resources some more.

At what size might a village become a target does anyone know?

Do you mean a second village? If so , prob need to get at least one of each resourse to a 10 first ( and the others at 8-9) and build equivalent upgrade (brickworks etc), to boost production, then you look at a second village. Starting too early will slow you down. If your first village is flying, you will build up your second village in no time

Nah still on my first village. 6 is the highest level anything is at and that is one crop at the moment although might be one of the clay pits as well can't recall and can't access here.

Hey duckman maybe you can help me work this out.

I'm going to take over an oasis and i want to work out if i should send the hero in the first wave.I don't want him to be killed because by the time I remade him the animals would ve returned and I've wasted my time. But it would nice to have him involved if he's going to survive--he ll power the other troops and i'll get a good skill bonus

theres going to be :

76 rats
50 spiders
25 wild boars

I'm sending 80 praets,and 30 EI--the hero is an EI full health

will he be killed?

Yeah, I reckon he's a good chance of dying. I'd make enough troops so that the simulator says they'll win without the hero, then he'll be sure to survive and pick up some nice xp. Why don't you make some imps to do the work? They'll be more efficient. 60 plus you EI's will do it and you'll still have your defense intact.

because i don't really have any use for the imps after the jobs done--but i do I have use for the praets--protect the oasis.Plus i already have most of the praets. So just gonna make EI's which i'll use afterwards anyway for raiding.

i have to do it in 3 waves from 2 serperate villages--it's a pretty big job clearing that many.

Yeah but they're all going to die pretty much anyway. Make imps and it costs you less to get the job done and you still have enough praets to go between your village and your oasis.
