I haven't seen enough of "Junior Subpar" to really comment. The guy has had a littany of injuries. What I have seen of him he appears slow. Maybe not as unco as "Senior Subpar", but definitely slower and less mobile. He'll get exposed on the MCG.

Having said that, I acknowledge we desparately need some big bodied help in the back line and I like his aggression. (That effort on McGregor in the first few minutes against the Crows was superb.)
thanks red.every man has his price i just knew the offer of free beer would get you typing poste haste.

Agree.

This is why we should think seriously about recruiting him.

You obviously only drink during footy season then Reds.
Damn those Tigers eh? :hihi

I said "moment" which is very finite.

I am doing an assignment for some study at this particular "moment", but when I am finsihed I will celebrate with alchohol as the "moment" will be over. Thankfully.

No one has indicated in this thread where this walking ambulance chaser is going to play. Can you imagine a side with Hall, *smile* T, Schulz, Simmons, Knoebel and Stafford in it. We would have to make little beep, beep noises everytime we turn around. Seriously slow and lumbering side.

I'm pretty sure we had a side this season with D Gaspar (with an "a"), Hall, Simmonds (with a "d"), Knobel (no second "e") and Staff in it. So what difference does T Gaspar make to D Gaspar in terms of mobility?

Was just wondering / pondering what T. *smile*'s future holds? I would think his days as an eagle are over, and I don't expect Freo will require a tallish (speculative?) KPP.

I expect T. *smile* will nominate for the PSD, and further I'd expect him to wind up in the state of Victoria....alongside his brother perhaps???? :-\

Gee, if we pick T Gaspar up...what faith does Terry and his merry band have in Polak?

Because, surely we'd be drafting him for our backline...

I'll tell you what we better not pick Travis up in the PSD.......I won't be impressed.  :vomit

He makes Ray Hall look like a champion.....Yup that bad.
i would take gaspar over hall any day of the week. one has talent who has never got up and running at any time thru his senior career thru injury. the other doesnt have an excuse.

Hall has the disadvantage of playing in a Richmond jumper so there is no way you'd rate him anyway Claw.

Having said that I wouldn't pick T.Gaspar up now - given we cut Chubba and traded for Polak the future lies elsewhere I would have thought. (Get well Thursty.)

Gawd who brought Travis Gaspar out as a possible for us?
His body won't let him play at this level, time for him to fade quietly into the background.

i agree tm. if he was going to come good injuries last yr or never. for them to keep comig is tough on the bloke.28 games in 7 yrs, entirely down to injuries is enough for me his body just wont let him play at afl standard. at what 26 next yr hes to old for our needs anyway.

it seems its enough for the weagles as well. they drafted him back in 99 as a first rnd pick 14. they would not have hung onto him for so long if they didnt see something in him. they are pretty adept at finding out whos good enough and whos not and turning them over.

Hell of a long time and a lot of work for stuff all return for the poor bugger.
Hate it when injuries ruin a players chance of making a career.

What a relief!!!!!!!!

I read this thread through and realised it was the same one that caused me to overdose on bex last year and lie down for 3 days straight.

Not nice to be playing tricks like that peoples. :scold

God Travis Gaspar no thanx, as with every other *smile* thread about delisted duds my response is no we still have enough of our own thank you. :thumbdown

Ah OK,

For a moment there, I thought Travis Tuck had been dropped off the Hawkers list.
