Trent Cotchin (Merged)

Said a long while back he's the best talent leysy has seen walk into the club in leysy's time watching (30 years).

Is now putting the performances into place that he will be the best player.

Wonderful game from a wonderful player but he ignored Jack when he was metres in the clear and straight in front 30m out in the 3rd quarter. Went back and missed the goal himself from a tough angle. Was gobsmacked that he didn't pass it.

I was surprised he didn't play on actually, was well in the clear and with his amazing peripheral vision and class, thought he would take them on. But gee what a class act this guy is. That mark he took where it rolled down his arm and the one where he out-judged Natanui was sublime. Cotchin could become anything.

An yes, silly of me. If I don't think he's an elite set shot then I must think he is bad.

It can be very binary on PRE at times.

How many elite midfielders are elite set shots at goal? Even the great umpire favourite Judd is pretty ordinary when shooting at goal.

Dunno how many though Gary Ablett isn't bad.

I really don't see what the issue is with pointing out that set shots at goal isn't Chimp's strength and at times he's missed some that could have been handy if he got.

Do I need to go to confession or can I just say a few Chimparys ? I'm assuming 1 Chimpary = 10 Hail Chimps and one Our Kazoo right ?

The way Jack has been travelling, it was probably the percentage play :-X

No issue here, just responding to your assertion that he is not an elite goalkicker. How good would it be if he could compete well in the ruck too?

it's five lots, referred to in the Catholic faith as decates, to make a complete Chimpary. But the catechesim of Cotchinism prescribes that 9, being His holy number, is the amount required for a nonate.

....

I will now find and modify my old Rosary beads.

Noticed again Cotch was sitting next to Dimma at the post match Pres.
Might be fair to say Newy will step down at the end of the year.

Surely.

And we will have to modify our Chimpary beads again. 5 x 17.

you should also notice that Newy, Miller and Lids have also sat next to him this year. Seems to be a new AFL directive to have various players at these press conferences

Second time for Cotch with Dimma this year in the after match press conference. ;)

Despite playing very good footy against good competition so far this year Cotch is paying $51 for the brownlow...

I expect him to only be on a few votes at the moment but also expect him to start carving opponents completely apart, especially now that we are starting to play some slightly weaker opponents...

Just put a sneaky $10 on him

Did anyone watch the Game Plan last night? Carey listed Cotch as one of 5 future competition super stars.

Nice to see him mentioned, but I'd rather he didn't have the extra attention or expectation on him..

Having seen and heard him a little bit, i dont think he's the type of bloke that would worry too much about it.
On a side note, is it just me or does Mark murphy look and sound more and more like Chirs Judd every day?
