Newman was in perfect position. Cotchin should have taken the longer option. It was Cotchin's mistake.

Cotchins direct clanger? Yes! But newman stood 10 metes directly behind Grigg with a Essendon player in between.
He didn't make a lead, he stood there calling for it.
I was shocked/amazed he didnt move in a different area to give Cotchin an extra option.

How good was the 80m play when he released from half back and gut run for the receive and running goal?

It is scary how good he will be with another 2-3 pre seasons under his belt. Scarier than NicNat.

If we're a "tanking" football side like the mighty demons and weak eagles we might've had Nit Nat too >:D

From where I saw it, Cotchin had the option to go longer or shorter. Essendon player was close to Grigg. If Cotchin went long it would have been fine. Think your clutching at straws in respect to Newman in this case.

You know often he did this. Dispose and run, dispose and run. There was one play where he had it 4 times. This guy is unbelievable. If every player had the same elite commitment, you'd be unbeatable.

No doubt mate. Smith & Wesson has nothing on this guy.

It's interesting. Had Judd chosen Richmond we may well have finished further up the ladder that season and been out of the race for this sky's the limit champion. Thanks for going to Carlscum Juddy . I really mean it . Thanks

Thank the RFC for not taking Morton!

Lifted when we were in trouble. Lifted the team. Kicked the captain's goal. Then another and another. (Missed one too. Heh heh.)

Inspiring player at any time at any club.

Nothing to say except what the hell is this thread doing on Page 4. ;D

Hail the Chimp. I wanna see Captain next to his name very soon.

stunning. second and third efforts in the same passages quite rightly had commentators like Maclure and Malthouse raving about this guy.

he just makes those around him walk taller. inspirational. he epitomises how we will over time command respect.

Enjoy a great night all tiger lovers.

He's a sickeningly good footballer. Just a joke some of the things he does. eg the little sidesteps. :clap

It's hard to see where the ceiling is for this bloke.
He's capable of winning 6 plus B&F's, Brownlows, Normans and MVP's.
I wonder if he's going to be better than KB.........
