Trent Cotchin (Merged)

Amazing.

A very good junior, but the standard that he's playing currently is just so much higher than that I thought he could play, when he was a junior.

His skills & agility were always there

But his engine & work ethic, now, are enormous.

Must say now, I certainly got the Cotchin v Morton one wrong.

I know what's happening at Demonland and its criminal how they are wasting a whole string of talented juniors.

But that's their problem.

Cotchin, in a revised 2007 draft would now be no.1.

Isn't great that when Cotch plays a great game these days, you know he has but he doesn't stand out as much.

It's because so many of his team mates are starting to make an impact.

With Cotch getting the support of his team, the sky is the limit on how far his game can progress.

I would suggest that if we can uncork a 14-15 game winning season with him in this sort of form, a Brownlow beckons.

I still think cotch isn't running at 100% yet. If I was an opposition supporter I'd be scared of what Cotch will turn into.

Top 5 midfielders in the comp and the great thing is there is more upside to him. Tough, gut-runner, beautiful kick, great decision maker and what sets him apart from most in the AFL is that he MAKES OTHERS AROUND HIM BETTER. The difference between very good players and champions is that champions make others around them better. That is a true test of one's ability and character. In a few years he will be regarded as a champion. It isnt a bold call at all

Took you awhile to admit it but well done. Even if you're a couple years too late. ;)

Watching on the Tv its the Chimp who goes to all team mates for a slap a gee up or some encouragement.

Pure leader he looked every bit the captain out there today.

Star.

Wonderful for a Darksider to revell in some Tiger players these days.

Poster on BF reckons it's bananas and peanuts On The Couch this week. Probably wont be any peanuts left for Cotch cos Mike will eat em all the monkey.

I've been telling people for ages this bloke is the best Richmond player since Maurice, but he's the most significant since Royce.

G.U.N.

Can kick both sides, runs in patterns with the ball to create space/openings for his team mates, "rests" in the forward line where he is as dangerous as any player.

ELITE.

Agreed. He is the best richmond player I have seen in my lifetime (nearly 21)

Probably, but a pretty useful draft in retrospect. Melbourne must be spewing...OK. that last comment was completely superfluous.

The Maurice of the new millenium mate - this is exactly how Maurice used to play. The magic was the icing on the cake
