TRIBAL JUMPERS?

This tribal stuff that just arrived in the mail today has given me a bit of inspiration. Or was it that drink I had?

OK...it's a given that a lot of replies will be "JUST LEAVE THE RUDDY JUMPER ALONE!"

Despite that, I'll press on...

...the last "alternative jumper" thread didn't really grab me artistically speaking.

If I had any talent or computer skills, I'd drum up a couple of prototypes, but I'll just have to try and describe:

Option 1
Half yellow (with grey tribal background pattern embedded), half black (with grey tribal background pattern embedded),  split diagonally (or vertically?) with the tribal tiger emblazoned across the front merging from yellow on the black background to black on the yellow background. White numbers

Option 2
3 panels (vertical or diagonal?) black, white (narrow only) and yellow with the tribal tiger yellow on the black, yellow with black shadow on the white and black on the yellow. White numbers

No? Oh well, I'm going to bed then.

MAC....mate me thinks the ideal jumper is a black jumper with a yellow sash front and back!

Its what Captain Blood played for....its what Jack Titus played for...its what Royce Hart played for....and its what we all LOVE!

plus its easier to picture!

Mac, that's a great initiative and it will only be a matter of time (years) before alternate strips is the norm as per the the round ball code around the world.

Just look at you idea similar to the introduction of GST to the peple of Australia, it was brought up as an agenda item in parliament, it (GST) got thrashed, abused, spat on, rejected, and today we go about our daily lives frankly not giving a damn. 8)

Its definitely Cogs!

I too initially thought it was too tall for Cogs. It is an effect from the wide angle lens on the camera. Makes people closer to the camera look taller and others, even slightly further away, look smaller.

Went to a Soccer Tournament on the week end. There was a Clash of Strips, both teams claimed that there was a loyalty to their Royal Blue. The referee flipped a coin and made one team wear bright yellow bibs with no further say in the matter.

I hope that if we have to wear Alternative Strips that we don't get placed in this situation. Our alternate strip must retain its links to Tigerland.

Okay computer boffins.....I need some help......that pic of the players standing side by side with Terry would look great as a background. Any ides as to how I can achieve that. The pic looks awesome.

Pull up the pic. Right click. Select set as background. :)
It's gonna look a bit ropey though as it's low resolution.

Alternatively, you could click on the membership package at the RFC website & pull up the higher resolution image.
- Then use the print screen button on the top right hand of your keyboard.
- Then open a program like MS paint or photoshop & paste it in. Crop the image & then resave it as a .jpeg on your hard drive, somewhere you can find in easily.
- Go to your control panel. Select the Display Menu. Browse for the image you saved and select it as your background. It still looks pretty ordinary because it's low res, but it's better. :hihi

Thanks ToO...it isnt too bad....what a great desktop it would be if it was a high res pic

:clap :beer :beer :beer :gotigers

No worries DHN 8).

They've certainly done a nice job of the presentation for this years membership, looks really classy. Full credit to all involved.

Here's a thought... Email the club or get GM's email off Rosy/Phantom etc. and request they put a hi-res version of the art work on the official club website as a "background".  Then you'll get the real deal. Would be good PR for the club too I think :).

Cheers
ToO
