I was just wondering if anybody knew the last time a team lost by 100+ points in 2 games and made the finals in the same season?

it would have to be an absolute rarity.....

Apologies, the previous post was not quite correct.

Has never happened. Closest were the Saints in 1978 - 10 wins and a draw, finished 6th on 93.1% and missed the final five by 2 points. As well as their 2 x 100-point losses, they also had a 99-point loss and lost 6 matches on the trot mid-season. :o
