The current TV deal is an absolute joke.
Last night I was looking forward to seeing the Dawks v Aints game, I turned on the TV at 7:15 to see the Kangas v Blues game on ch10. Ok, I have FOX, so I turn over to Fox Sports 1 to see the game I wanted to see. Hang on, Kangas v Blues was on that channel as well. WTF???
Main Event had live AFL, so I scrolled down to that channel. I was Hawks v Saints, so I selected this channel. But access was denied. Apparently this game was only available to ACT and NSW subscribers.
This is absolute crap. After all that time in pulling together a TV deal to eliminate blackspots, Andy Demetripoo shows he has failed again.
What's worse, Richmond v Essendon, Dreamtime at the G, one of the key games on the AFL calander, is a ch10 game. At the same time, Lions v Collingwood is on. Ch10 will show the Lions v Maggots game live into Brisbane rather than the Tiges game. Yet, as Lions v Maggots is also a Foxtel game, Foxtel will be showing this game live as well. Main Event do have the Tiges game on but, again, for reasons unbeknown to me, this service is only available to NSW and ACT subscribers.
Can someone please explain this mess to me? At the moment, the previous TV regime was better for me and it cost the AFL half as much.
I have no idea how I'm going to watch the Dreamtime game next week.
