to beat the heat i went over to a friends house (but he is mad collingwood) and he had a fixture for the footy out of the herald sun, and it had what channel was covering the game. so i had a quick look and to my great suprise richmond games were being covered almost in excess, that was through till round 11. has anyone else noticed that we are being represented more on free to air?

We have 16 FTA games in 2009.

How does that translate to Qld viewing though? Be happy with 11 to be honest - will be a big improvement if we get somewhere near that (please please please)

Luxbet dont have a "sweetheart" deal with AFL so they knocked it on the head. Dimeeetreeeu ought to be strung up!!!

Luxbet is owned by Tabcorp however who do.

FTA sucks!

Ok - it may be good in enticing a sponsor - and obviously not everyone can afford Foxtel - but the ads and commentary loses it for me.

So much so, that I'll often wait the two/three hours to watch the Foxtel delayed telecast.

When a game is on edge, and Tiges hit the front with a snap Deledio/Tambling/Richo/Courins/Brown/White goal - there is nothing worse than the 300th Holden/Red Rooster/Jim Beam ad!

Give me the Foxtel replay and atmosphere anyday!

Got your deals and agencies arse up there Philster! ;)

I hate the usually delayed telecast on FTA compared to live on PayTV. I choose to listen on the radio rather than watch the delayed coverage, or I listen to the radio broadcast and watch telly with the sound down. I can't stand not knowing what's happening in live time.

To me that's disappointing.

I hope at least the interstate games are on Pay-TV.

Its five or so more than last year.

The Hawks in 2007 had only 8 FTA. Now that would be something to be disappointed about!

To be honest I dont care how many games are shown on free to air TV.

I much prefer being at the ground, in my reserved seat cheering the team on.

i agree with many of you in the fact that i would rather be at the game. but i believe that it shows that the tigers seem to have quite a high audience rate in comparison to other teams. maybe the sleeping giant is about to awake as terry believed

So would I nwonash but I cannot drive the 3 1/2 hours there and back every week especially to Friday night or Sunday games.

I hope to attend 15+ games in Victoria. I 'm hoping the others are not FTA so I can watch them live on Pay.
