Ive got a great initiative for you Terry, how about getting the team into the finals.

Here here again Laff.
If it was Malthouse or Sheedy waffling on about this, the ferals would be calling them silly
old hasbeen fools!!!
Cant wait to see the next generation of David Bourkes or Tom Roachs, fooling the ferals they
will be any good because there old men were stars!!!
Why doesnt Wallet do some coaching on the duds on the current list!!!!!
I dont know why he's bothering anyway, because with RFC'S track record, he will be lucky
to see out his contract!!!

Well done RFC and Terry.

We have a good look at the kids, try to improve any faults, don't have to take them if they are not up to it, gets past servents of the club back to the club, can't see that it would cost much, and is thinking outside the square.

:clap :clap :clap

agree. there is no downside with this. tw is a genius

The fact that it gives a former player just one more reason to stay involved with his former club regardless of how well the child develops can only beneficial all round.

that too

Who has kids ready to go in this program?
Is Terry going to start a breeding program now?
Hook up Lauren Jackson and Troy Simmonds or Tamsyn Lewis and Cam Howat.
Have to keep Richo and Jana Pitman away from each other. That would be one sooky kid.

oh yer thats scary,

great idea i think, 10 years old might be a bit to young but maybe 12 and 13 would be better. :clap :clap :clap well done

I don't usually waste here here's in the offseason as there are plenty of here here's during the season but here here to you Diggler. Wallace is very good at coming up with ideas on football and how it should be run but I am wondering what ideas he will come up with to avoid similar thrashings we witnessesd last season. Its fair to say the honey moon is now over as during his first two years he saw very little feral saliva in his direction, I am tipping if they dish up more of the same as last year he had better invest in a good spray jacket.

Here hear Laff.
The MCG and Telsta dome wont struggle in the drought next winter, with
a few more tiger floggings and the inevitable saliva baths that follow!!!!

You know you have issues when you have 2 different usernames on the same site......................and reply to them! :o

How funny Diggler and Laff on the same time last night at 1130.

Well said obieone.

This process gives past RFC players an excuse to get involved with their club again.

Reckon some would be itching for an excuse to get involved in whatever capacity. This is
a pretty easy way to get involved again.

Oh my God, why don't you two just get a room and be done with it?!?!

The percentage of father-son selections to play 200+ games is roughly 4 times higher than the overall percentage, and that's not including Scarlett, Ablett and Jonathan Brown who are likely to reach that mark if they stay fit; Peake and Waite are also a chance. Sure we've had misses with Sean Bowden, Nick Jewell, Roach & Bourke but Joel Bowden and Richo more than compensate. 2 from 6 extremely good/great players is an exceptional strike rate for what are essentially third-round draft picks.

As TW says, the father-son rule is the only means the club has to recruit a specific player with surety.

Agree 1,4,8.

Sound logic applies when looking to increase the success rate of 3rd round F-S.

Only reject proviso is that if Vlad or AA change the F-S draft rule to the "open-market" bid system then it would probably not be cost effective.

With the school holiday timing, it may also interface with the T@FE programme.
