What can Terry do to make us better?
Is he doing a good job?
What more changers can we make?
Does Terry have a pass mark to date?

For starters a full list today would of helped; Simmonds, Sugar, P.Bowden, *smile*, Thursfield, Kingsley, Pattison and Hall..

I think he has done a tremendous job to date, you gotta remember what he took over it was a rabble.

I think if i had to include a negative is that TW tends to not change the midfielders to much meaning we know the obvious ones, but lets put raines in their and a newman at times. Also would've preferred to see edwards get a game today, has earnt it by some of the praccy games has great poise and skill fora new cummer.

TW's choice of Tuck as ruckman probably wasn't a goer!

Damn right i would've preferred tuck concentrating soley on wisking the ball away from the ruck contests, and i would've liked to see GUS get a game at least we would've had a better idea of his impending progress.

Angus was injured.

settle down. it was nothing more than a practice match.

Exactly.

Results fluctuate wildly at this time of year and gives little indication of what we can expect for the coming season.

Last preseason we whipped the Bullies in a practice match and then they beat us by the same margin in rnd 1.

Let the Cats enjoy their moment. They won the NAB last year remember?

AGAIN Terry played the occsional ZERO person forward line.

It is so aggrivating seeing our midfielder look up into the forwardline and see NOTHING!

Browny and Richo, two of the best forwards in the league, can't we leave ONE there?

Even that isn't enough really, because they will be up against 1-4 defenders.

Remember how often wallace mentions that drive off half back is how games are won and lost these days?

It seems to me he focuses only on our half back and not the oppositions.

Terry, listen carefully: Taking everyone out of our forward line means there are now 4 opposition players sitting on half back with no-one to be accountable to, who can stream up through the middle and/or drift in to their forward line to outnumber our defenders.

It would be like an opposing team leaving Raines, both Bowdens and Lids totally unmarked and free for the whole game AND giving them all the space and time they want. Why would any coach do that? Ours does!

LEAVE FORWARDS IN THE FORWARD LINE!!!!!

I think with the game itself, there is a group who thinks "its only a practice game, who cares" and also a group who thinks "here we go again, same old, same old".

With half a dozen senior players out, I was surpised not to see the rookies/draftees getting a go, to see what they could do in a competitve game, against good opposition.

The thing that worries me, is that out of the players you listed who were out, I can't see a player that would have changed that game dramatically.
Its not like we were resting Judd, Kerr, and Cousins yesterday... :-X

The only thing adding these players would do, is change some positioning.....maybe use Richo in the goal-square against Scarlett, allowing Kingsley to roam more free in the forward 5m arc....having Johnson/Simmo in the centre might have helped at the centre bounces.....having Pattison as an around the ground ruckman, might have helped at stoppages, forcing Bomber Thompson to play Ottens in the ruck at times.
Having Hall on Ottens, and Gas on Nathan Ablett, might have allowed Joel to play as the 3rd man up, in defence more.

Maybe I'm becoming a bit impatient with my old age.... :hihi....but what I am a little disappointed about, is that with TW and his high draft picks he has received...apart from Lids (who is still a little inconsistent, but looks the goods)...our higher draft picks haven't come on as quickly as I would have thought.

Players from the lower end of the spectrum, such as Foley and Howat....seem to show a bit more than players we have drafted much higher.

Whether that is TWs fault, or just my frustration at the way we lost yesterday and seeing players not holding their tackles, etc,,,,,I don't know.

P.S: TW...for God's sake...tell Bling/Krak/Meyer to STAY DOWN and crumb....stop going for marks in packs, allowing the opposition to sweep it out of our forward line! >:(

TW for starters should attend and take EVERY training session, I think that should be a good start, and not leave it up to Rawlings & King.

TW is the coach not the assistants!
