Two more years of Polo

He doesn't have Lids explosive pace, but he is going to be an absolute gun.

Polo had a great year. Fantastic find for the club.

He seem to gather 15 or so possies ona regular basis, but doesnt score to well in the ranking points, which suggests ineffective ball use, or alot of errors.

Anyone noticed how effective/ineffective his disposal is?

No way will he be better than Lids. Polo has not had to cope wth the quality of oppisition or tagging that Lids has copped this yr.

As long as they are both great players for the RFC dont mind who is better.

It's interesting Monash because I am rapt with Polo's development this year but still think that Lids is a way better player, currently and potentially, than Dean. Lids has more pace, a better kick, a better grab and just generally looks more polished. Otherwise why was Polo considered to be picked quite early at pick 20 whereas Lids was the virtual unanimous choice for pick 1?

as you say Deledio way way more class, pace , polish, overhead ability, kicking & whatever else you care to name.

Polo will be a good honest player.......Deledio is what teams can be built around.......

Have to disagree Leysey, Deledio can potentially be a very good player but at present Polo is getting the big match ups and delivering the goods. Seems to be getting into more dangerous spots than Lids and is delivering well into forward 50. Lids is good in the air but so is Polo. Lids has the pace and kicking skills but I think Polo has him on footy smarts ATM. Comparisions are silly really, all I can say is that I love watching the kids play play. I think both could be real stars of the future..

and I think the best of the lot will be Richie Bling!

Agree HK and he has that Cogs like quality of usually keeping his footing and his hands free in a tackle so that he can dispose to our advantage.

Why the hell are we comparing these two? THey are TOTALLY different players!! hahahah this is a joke! Im sick to death of the Tambling v Franklin comparisons - thats bad enough....but comparing these two is just comical. Both are going to be guns - Lids the quick exciting superstar who will be a future champ of the league and Polo the ever reliable who is just the type of player you would want on grand final day as you know he will put his body on the line all day everyday.

....and the best thing - they are both ours!
