TWs neck on the block AGAIN if we lose this week?

I really can't see Terry being sacked this year no matter what now.

He has already proven that this team is going places (it's clear to see) and made us the #1 hardball team in the comp. He has proven once again he is a great coach keeping players like Pettifer at Coburg to develop their game, moving Richo to the wing.

Yep and it only took him four years to work that out...brilliant!

And yes any other coach in the fourth year of a five year contract with only 2.5 wins after 8 rounds would be in trouble. But not our Terry the supercoach, definitely the standout of the coaching appointees of the class of 2004. Still even if he isn't a very good coach, he is smart enough to know this is probably close to the biggest crunch game since his appointment. He has to win this as the following two matches are highly probable loses and there is no way you can spin doctor 2.5 wins out of 11 matches. Would he sacked no, but God would the media and supporter pressure be intense (for what it's worth I think he will win and keep the wolves a bay for at least another month!).

Meltdown the likes never before seen on PRE can be expected should the Tiggies fall over this week :hihi

MMMmmm, get all excited at the prospect are you - it's what you love footy for?

It shouldn't be. We have just played 3 undefeated teams. We are not the first and wont be the last team to lose (and draw) to them.

The next 4 weeks will be crucial.. anything short of 2/4 THEN we can step up the pressure on him.

You would have to be mad if you couldn't see TW's plan working though.. we are a different team this year and the youngsters are coming on well.

Yeah I reckon craig loves it when the Tiges lose. Gives him an excuse to whinge & whine (like a lot of others on here).

Thing is, I reckon some of them actually get off on it.

Look the pressure will be on considering the bombers form of late.

Its a game most will be picking us to win.

We are favourites and deserving so but we have to win this one and win it well.

To lose would send us backwards and the pressure on the players , coach and club would be great.

We should win but i am nervous.

No it took him 4 years to build up the depth to the point where he could afford to do it.

Ok so who is the power KP forward that Wallet has drafted and groomed during his four long years that has now stepped into our forward line to free up Richardson so he can now play in a different position? (and remember Richo is/was a key position forward, not a skinny running flanker - which I admit we now have loads of depth in). Who is our marking tall bag kicker up front now? Or have we be simply been robbing Peter to pay Paul?

And if that's true we had less depth before, shouldn't we have played him then in the role we are playing him now? Simply because you want your best player where the action is rather than rotting up in the forward line where the ball would hardly ever come or when it did so in an abysmal fashion? Kevin Bartlett was faced with the same dilemma with Jeff Hogg in the early 1990s. People would ask him why didn't he play him up forward (Peter McKenna thought Hogg had the potential to kick 100 goals in a season). Bartlett said he wish he could, he wished he had two Hoggs so he could play them at both ends, but having only one he had to play him where the action was and be most productive.

So yeah I'll give Wallet credit where it's due, it was a bleeding obvious move and he finally did it. Too bad it took him four years to work it out.

In today's HUN, Mike Sheahan criticized Essendon and said their quick fix mentality would leave them languishing.

It seems to me that whenever a team has a poor run, the media get stuck into them and stir them up the week before they play Richmond. >:(
