KB just referred to PRE on Hungry for Sport SEN and asked if anyone knew if it were true that TV had eye surgery.

Ah good one. It would be nice to find out once and for all if it is true that he is having problems from it.

If the problem is eye surgery gone wrong, that would be a tragedy of epic proportions.

I've heard this also, is PRE responsible for this rumour or is there a reference from somewhere else?

This was the first mention of it on PRE

KB said the PRE was his source hence why he wanted to know if anyone could shed any light on the rumour. I had to return to work and never heard if he had any responses to the question.

You need to get your priorities right.

;)

I really doubt it is eye surgery, which loads of footballers including Benny have had sucessfully before. I think it is lack of confidence both in presenting on the lead, and in plucking his marks. Have a look of the tape of the Adelaide game last year where he comes on after a shoulder knock and throws himself at a pack to take a huge mark. He needs to get back to playing on instinct and attacking the footy (easier said than done).

Agree 100%.
All I need to do is convince the board of directors that PRE gossip outweighs the bottom line.
Will start working on this immediately.

Not buying it, he's not getting near it. I reckon it's something else

Maybe it's his shoulder and lack of confidence in it. I can't remember the last time he took an overhead mark..
Then again you wouldn't think the medical staff would allow him to go into the ruck if it's an issue.

Weird one.I bet Dimma wishes he had the answer for it.

Maybe there is nothing wrong physically with Vickery. It seems to me that he emerged in 2011 from the background of defences becoming very Jack-conscious and he took advantage of opponents who were zoning off towards Jack to double and triple team him. There was less pressure on him last year than he is experiencing at present.

Now, in 2012, opponents are paying due respect to both Jack and Vickery. Miller is the new beneficiary. On what planet has Miller ever kicked 7 goals in two weeks before? For what it is worth, Vickery was doing quite a bit of blocking and shepherding opponents off marking contests on the weekend, helping team-mates mark the ball.

Personally, I hope Miller keeps kicking goals for a few more weeks as it will have the effect of keeping another defender honest. If Jack, Vickery and Miller are all going one-on-one in our forward line with the tall defenders, I'll bet we will see a barrage of goals from the likes of Martin, Cotchin, Deledio and Conca.

Must be desperate for material on his show the old K.B. Club legend could simply pick up the phone and confirm or refute the rumour in thirty seconds rather than stringing the story along on radio.
