Tyrone Vickery

Think he has been carrying a shoulder injury, and is now down with the calf injury.

He has been carrying this injury for a hell of long time, his preseason form was poor and continue it through the last 6 games.
Considering his form last year was great he has been shocking do far this year.
The club should've and should have played him at coburg till he got his touch back.
The most disappointing player this year!!

Saw a couple of times Tyrone was all by his lonesome in the forward line (pocket and flank mostly) and was either missed or overlooked in favour of direct to Jack. I'm sure an accurate lick to Tyrone would have resulted in a mark and shot at goal.

There was one instance in the second quarter last Sunday where Tyrone was 20 meters out, directly in front, no Port player within 20 meters and waving his arms like a lunatic. The Tigers player chose to kick it to Jack who was one on one with Carlisle deep in the pocket. Jack spilled it over the line for a throw in.

I think form slumps like Vickerys can be self perpetuating, as he loses confidence in himself the other players do too, and they just don't look for him anymore. He did a few really nice things in the first half, the duck and weave in the middle followed by the deep kick 50 meters to the top of the square was classy and smart and resulted in a Tigers goal. He's just not doing it enough.

Oldster, I think there are three separate issues with Vickery. OK, maybe ten but Tyrone is awfully complicated.

The first is his ability and where he can be in two years. FWIW I think he could be in our best five and maybe our second best or better. But I don't care for now because of issues two and three. Dimma's the right man here.

How hard does the ball come out of Richmond's forward line when Ty plays there? Let's see if that improves when he aint there. iVahn, last week reshaped the whole thing. He improves structure IMO. Vickery si quicker than Deledio in theory, so yeah how come he does nothing and never catches any one? We bleed while Vickery reflects. Sah indie.

Structurally is Richmond better off without a young non contributor in a key role in its achilles heel - its forward line? Well, yeah, a reckon.

FWIW I think Tyrone will come good this year. And on.

Vickery was always dropped with Bruised Buttocks. For two weeks so far. Ours is a delicate and astute coach.

Nice.

Hope Tyrone isn't forgotten in all the post match hype. Thought he gave Ivan fantastic relief in the ruck, threw his body around and didn't in any way resemble the player he was before his injury. A definite step in the right direction today.

And as much as I hate to say it about Miller, but Tyrone was infinitely more valuable today than Brad would have been.

Ruck work was good. Still needs to get involved a bit more and offer at least a goal or 2 up forward a week but a step in the right direction for him.

yes definately better than Miller, and did OK, but still doesn't look confident. Step forward we hope

sure does look low on confidence. Was better today as others have said. He think he will be back, just needs to keep working hard and try and get his hands on it. Having him back is very good for Maric.

Back from injury but did well in the ruck to help Eevarn.

Just shows how important a tall of his size is at CHF. Miller isn't necessary anymore.

I was glad they gave him so much time on the ball just to get him into the game. Will be important next week with St.Kilda's lack of rucks - although they seem to be doing okay at the moment giving the Swans a licking.

I reckon he's close to clunking some marks.
He's just got to get his work rate up.
Clearly his pre-season was limited but he was a contributor today.

yeah. Its a bit of a statement that an out of touch TV is much better than an at his best BM

Didn't have a great day but was still valuable chopping out Maric in the ruck and providing a contest around the ground.
Has to get a game for structure alone!!!
Solid game if not in form.

Didn't do enough for mine & hasn't done a thing all year, Graham by all reports has been very good at Coburg. Therefore its time to see if Graham is an upgrade or not.

I think Vickery is going through a trough, but what he brings to the team in height & mobility at CHF is invaluable for team balance & structure.

Just keep playing him, he'll come good eventually. When he does, he'll be a defining factor in the success of this team.
