Tyrone Vickery

Two metres of timideness, lack of balls and aggression. Wasn't Vickery touted by some as a potential premier ruckman? Maybe it was on bigfooty. Opposition know how to handle him and it's good night irene for him. I hope Hardwick has him in sights to drop him.

His game today officially changes my views on him and I have perservered with him for too long. Sorry Jane Vickery.

Bad day for the kid but he will come through it whether at AFL or VFL level. He is a future player for us the present will just be a bad memory

Looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. Lift. Learn how to isolate yourself from Jack. Take contested marks. Make a difference in the ruck. Lead up to the ball carrier. Work til you throw up. Bleed for the jumper. Play with intensity.

Otherwise go. Terrible 2012.

I ave no doubt he will one day be a good maybe terrific player. But it's not now. For the sake of his own development let him have an extended stint at Coburg. We have plenty of talls that can put out at least that level of crap I the meantime.

Done nothing all year, go to Coburg and get a kick.

he does need a spell, hopefully Grimes comes back and Griff up forward, Astbury may put pressure on him too, but we lose a secondary ruck. Not sure Griff can ruck, Astbury definitely not.

I agree, I thought his form slump would come good but it just hasn't. needs to regain some confidence in his own game at a lower level.

He WILL come good but no more gifted for any player. Must earn his spot!!

1 goal and 2 goal assists, out of 9 goals.

he is on a slow improve i reckon. not near last year yet though.

Watching Hurley stink it up against the Swans. Higher draft pick, more highly rated as a junior and IMO more talented than Tyrone, but can't get it together ATM. Sometimes these big fellas take a bit of time to find their feet.

If any of our other ruckmen had any potential I reckon Vickery would have a spell at Coburg, the only guy I would consider trying is Elton, and he is nowhere near ready. We need a ruckman who can spend 90% of the game forward. It's really Bo or nobody.

The worst thing about Vickery today was that he was a complete momentum stopper with the ball in his hands. He has no composure and looks out of place at AFL level. He finds himself too often in the wrong spot as a big man, where his handball skills are required as opposed to his marking ability. Like the guy who stands under the basket in basketball and collects the ball each time a basket is made. That guy was me for my basketball career!

I missed what TV did at halftime that created the feedback can someone enlighten me ?

As they were waking off I think he may have been joking about Jack's injury on how he limped off and made a miraculously recovering. Nothing in it really. Big media beat up. The media and all the umpires from todays game should find themselves stuck in the lift at Etihad during Richmond V St Kilda games.
