Unlisted Players Training With Richmond

Whats the word on Andre Gianfanga, is he a realistic prospect?
What type of player is he, Midfielder Flanker or KPP?
With a surname like his he could become an instant cult figure at tigerland, if he just happened to be a big ugly roughnut with just a touch of mongrel in him the army would be "SOOLIN  FANG"  onto the opposition at every possible opportunity ;D

Andre Gianfagna Average 180cm 76kg No. 7 Northern Knights
0gls, 0bhds, 10ke, 2ki, 2he, 0hi, 5hr, 12de, 3m, 3t, 0ff, 1fa, 0ho

He played on the wing during the TAC finals

F1: 0gls, 0bhds, 13ke, 1ki, 3he, 0hi, 9hr, 16de, 4m, 3t, 1ff, 2fa, 0ho
F2: 0gls, 0bhds, 13ke, 3ki, 3he, 0hi, 4hr, 16de, 3m, 3t, 1ff, 0fa, 0ho
F3: 1gl, 0bhds, 11ke, 2ki, 3he, 1hi, 10hr, 14de, 2m, 1t, 0ff, 1fa, 0ho

The high number of handball receives over total disposals indicates that he is a ball receiver and carrier, not so much of a ball getter. The other disturbing factor is his relatively high number of ineffective kicks, considering he is an outside midfielder/winger. An ave of 2ki in the H&A games, plus the same again in the finals.

Hate to be hard but he seems another Tivendale to me, though, at 180cm, not as tall.

Good to see Daniel Nichols training with Richmond.
Can anyone give me a report on how he has handled training thus far?

Here are some snippets on Bryce Campbell from the internet.

Google is a wonderful thing. Maybe time to jump on board the B-train.

Campbell's fresh legs saves Legs
By ZAC MILBANK

TAKE three topline midfielders out of any team and it should struggle - but Norwood's Bryce Campbell refused to subscribe to this popular theory last Saturday.

With gun on-ballers Kris Massie and Scott Carslake late withdrawals before the game and the in-form Scott Borlace sidelined with a hamstring injury before half-time, the Redlegs looked shot.
But with 29 possessions and three goals against South Adelaide, Campbell showed his team-mates he wasn't about to give up as he played a major part in securing his club's fourth win in a row.

"It was a really good win considering we had all of those guys (Massie, Carslake, Borlace) out," Campbell, 20, said. "There's a lot of other players in the team who are just as capable of doing the same job and it was extremely pleasing that we don't have to rely on them."

Originally from Wagga Wagga, Campbell played a season with Eastlake in the ACT, the same club Redleg Robbie Neill played with earlier in his career.

As a result, Campbell has watched the former St Kilda grand final player very closely and he likes what he sees.

"It's just the way he (Neill) goes about it," Campbell, a storeman for an Adelaide stationer, said. "He has got a really good work ethic and is desperate to keep the ball in the forward lines with his second efforts and tackling." What Campbell won't admit to is that he is even harder at the ball, the almost shy left-footer getting a major dose of white-line fever each time he takes the field.

"It's the way I was brought up playing in the country," Campbell explained. "When you start playing senior football at the age of 16 it's the way you have to play."

Not concerned about individual goals, Campbell's main focus is to continue his team's charge toward September by earning a fifth consecutive win against Glenelg on Saturday. "I think so," Campbell said of finals being a reality for the Redlegs.

"But the competition is so even you can't get ahead of yourself. We've just got to focus on getting another win - so five wins would be great."

Campbell........ just chuck him the number 9 jumper and whack him straight in the starting line-up.

A bit of mongrel at Richmond?  Geez, things are looking up!  :gotigers

unless I'm thinking of someone else, isn't he too young? - i thought next year was his first draft. I could be wrong...first time for everything.

Everything presented on this lad looks very good. Would have to be Rookied somewhere you'd think - a good project for the Tiges you'd think!

Geez, wonder how good he is if he's ranked behind the "gun" midfielder in Kris Massie ?

Listed palyers always are considered guns reagardless of performance, bit harsh on Bryce.

Some interesting debate in this thread re Matt White. Now that he's on board will be interesting to see what eventuates with this young Tiger.
Good luck Matty :clap :emblem.
