Had a look at Coburg yesterday on the ABC. I'm afraid I did not see anyone capable of being promoted to the Tigers any time soon. Joel did nothing, Polak was OK for a few marks and short kicks, and Couglan got a few touches, Hughes did little and Petts got injured, not that he was starring anyhow, Rance looked ordinary, and Thompson hardly set the world on fire. None of them filled me with any enthusiasm for getting a game at all with the Tiges in the foreseeable future, although I suppose Rance has to be developed yet.

If I am right, does this mean we now have to stick with the team we have right now?? Richo will probably come back soon, but probably after a run with Coburg. Who else is there??? Today will be a benchmark for some against the Dons today, but if a few don't play well, then who can come up from the magoos??

Yes I agree

I would go as far to say that if that is our bright young list we are in big trouble.

It is going to be a very long 10 years ahead.

Depressing really

Tjose conditions were horrible. I live pretty close to Casey and that wind was 5 knots from being classified a hurricane.

However, Cogs and Raines are finished. Depending on contracts each should be farewelled ASAP.

Plenty up for Promotion against melb next week ;D

In-Rance,Bowden,Raines,Hughes,Petts[on one leg],Conners,Shultz,Browne,Graham

Out-Thirsty,Newman,Edwards,Jack,Tambling,Deledio,Cousins,Cotchin,Vickery,Nahas.

The facts: McRae is our Development bloke at the club. McRae has taken over as coach of the Coburg Tigers. The Coburg Tigers have gone backwards.

The facts reflect McRae who has been employed as a development person for our club is going backwards in his development/coaching for Coburg.

Reckon you might be on the money there.

agree it doesn't look like he's up to a coaching gig, but also remember what he is working with at Coburg. Mostly the guys who are too old/slow for the AFL, or are simply not up for it.

Paging Dyer Disciple.....

I'll just say development coach is a different role than head coach, he may not be up to a head coach role but that doesn't reflect on his development role.

Very strange comment during the broadcast by McCrae at 3 quarter time along the lines of:

"We will wait until 10 minutes are left & then go for the win".

WHAT???

they key was dropping Cogs and Tuck this week. They won't be back for melbourne. richmond lose.

if they drop them before the Melbourne game it's too obvious.

its a worry, the burgers were average under rawlings and crap under mcrae - despite having 10 experienced afl blokes running around every week

I cannot tell you how underwhelmed, and ultimately, disappointed I am by RFC listed players at Coburg.
